"On the Road," starring Kristen Stewart, is competing for the Palme d'Ore as an "Official Selection" at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival. The film is based on the novel of the same name by Jack Kerouac.

Robert Pattinson, supporting his girlfriend, Kristen Stewart, walks the red carpet for "On the Road."

Robert Pattinson's film "Cosmopolis" will premiere at Cannes as an Official Selection competing against "On the Road."

What are your thoughts on Kristen’s wardrobe choices?  I love Kristen’s red carpet gown. Was Kirsten Dunst overdressed or Kristen underdressed during the photo call session? Rob looked fantastic.  Do you think Kristen will reciprocate and walk the carpet for “Cosmopolis?”

Kristen Stewart and “Snow White and the Huntsman” appear in Universal Orlando’s new nighttime spectacular opening tonight

Universal Pictures is promoting "Snow White and the Huntsman" in its theme parks this summer with billboard like this one in Universal Orlando. SWATH also is featured in Universal Orlando's new nighttime water show.

If you are heading to the Universal Studios Orlando Resort you may catch a glimpse of Kristen Stewart.  Today, May 8, Universal Studios in Orlando, Fla. premieres its new nighttime show, “Universal Cinematic Spectacular: 100 Years of Movie Memories.” I happened upon last night’s final preview performance while on vacation and was excited to see this new show that combines elements remeniscent of Disney’s nighttime water shows like “Fantasmic,” “World of Color,” and “Illuminations,” but with Universal’s theatrical spin utilizing waterfall screens, fountains and fireworks with narration by Morgan Freeman.

The show is divided into five “acts” of Universal movie memories themed around  heroes, horror, laughter,  good vs. evil, and triumph.  The memories covered the 100 years of Universal movies including memories yet to be made. Upcoming Universal Pictures 2012 summer releases are included in the show such as “Battleship” and “Snow White in the Huntsman.”  There is a quick glance of Charlize Theron as Queen Raveena early in the show.  During the “Good vs. Evil” segment there is footage of the battle with Kristen Stewart as Snow White charging on her horse as well as a later clip of Chris Hemsworth as the Huntsman followed by some more battle footage.  Kristen appears again, sword in hand, during the “Triumph” section.

The show opens tonight and runs nightly throughout the summer and then on select nights through the end of the year at Universal Orlando on the Universal Studios Lagoon.  I really enjoyed the clips from many famous and favorite movies and highly recommend taking it in if given the opportunity. Your best location for optimal viewing will most likely be by the waterfront near Mel’s Drive-in.

"On the Road" vs. "Cosmopolis" at Cannes 2012

It already was going to be a busy late spring for Kristen Stewart with “Snow White and the Huntsman” arriving in theaters on June 1, and now it just got busier. It was announced today that “On the Road,” Kristen’s upcoming film, will compete for the prestigious Palme d’Ore as an “Official Selection” at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival, which takes place May 16 to 27. The film is based on the novel of the same name by Jack Kerouac. “On the Road” features an impressive cast including Sam Riley, Garrett Hedlund, Kirsten Dunst, Tom Sturridge, Viggo Mortensen, Amy Adams, Steve Buscemi, Terrence Howard and Elisabeth Moss. The running time for “On the Road” is listed as 2 hours and 20 minutes.

Kristen isn’t the only “Twilight” star who’s heading to Cannes. “Cosmopolis” starring Robert Pattinson will be competing against “On the Road” for the Palme d’Ore also as an “Official Selection.”  The movie is directed by David Cronenberg (“A Dangerous Method,” “Eastern Promises,” and “A History of Violence”) and features Paul Giamatti, Samantha Morton, Juliette Binoche and Jay Baruchel. The running time for “Cosmopolis” is 1 hour and 45 minutes. This announcement was made the same day that the full trailer for “Cosmopolis” was released, which you can check out below!

The closing award ceremony when the Palme d’Ore winner is announced will be held on May 27.  Which movie are you more excited to see?

Tinsel Korey at the "Breaking Dawn, Part 2" premiere .

It’s a triple Twilight birthday!

Happy 31st birthday to “The Twilight Saga’s” Emily Young, Tinsel Korey! This year she appeared with Ben Cross in the Syfy television movie, “Black Forest.”  Her single, “Letter” is available on iTunes and Amazon.  She has completed filming on “Fishing Naked” with “Twilight Saga” co-star Bronson Pelletier.

Kiowa Gordon at the "Breaking Dawn, Part 1" premiere.

Kiowa Gordon celebrates his 22nd birthday today. He has several films in post-production – the thriller “The Projectionist,” “The Lesser Blessed” co-starring Benjamin Bratt, and we’ll see him as Embry Call in “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 2,” in November. He is also scheduled to appear in “Killing Games” and “Into the Darkness” with Mischa Barton and John Schneider.

Lee Pace at the "Breaking Dawn, Part 1" premiere.

And finally, happy 33rd birthday to new “Twilight Saga” cast member, Lee Pace, who we are excited to see as Garrett in “Breaking Dawn, Part 2.”  Lee will appear as King Thranduil, in another highly anticipated book to screen film, “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.”  He will also co-star as Fernando Wood in Steven Speilberg’s “Lincoln” in December.

New Snow White and the Huntsman with Kristen Stewart trailer and feature video

Posted on Mar 19, 2012 by Amy with 5 Comments.

This morning a new five minute feature video and the second trailer for “Snow White and the Huntsman,” starring Kristen Stewart, Charlize Theron and Chris Hemsworth, were released exclusively online by XfinityTV.  The feature seems to give us an overview of the story.  To see both videos as well as the other series of featurettes that were released last week, click here.

Having attended WonderCon this past weekend, I can tell you that this is not the same five minute video that was shown there on Saturday.  Director Rupert Sanders said that he had cut that piece exclusively for the WonderCon audience.  The videos released today feature a lot of the footage that was shown in the WonderCon piece, but there are some differences…at WonderCon we saw Snow White punch the Huntsman in the face! Read my full report on the #SWATH WonderCon panel here.

Between WonderCon and the new footage today, I am very excited about this film.  What do you think of Kristen Stewart’s latest heroine?

“Snow White and the Huntsman” is in theaters on June 1.
