‘Twilight’ Producer Mark Morgan Talks Why Robert Pattinson Was Cast

Posted on Nov 13, 2011 by Kimmy with 3 Comments.

Our Page to Premiere Network representative, Zane, heard ‘Twilight’ producer Mark Morgan speak about the reason why Robert Pattinson was cast as Edward Cullen in the ‘Twilight’ Saga, at the Charleston Young Adult Book Festival in South Carolina.

Mark Morgan: The reason Rob was chosen for Edward was the underlying sexual tension and chemistry he had with Kristen [Stewart]. There were other equally good options, but none had that with Kristen.

You really do need that ‘underlying sexual tension,’ and that is why the movie works!

Aww, And I’m so glad that it became rob,
The role is perfect for rob. Rob is a amazing sweet actor.
And if he wouldn’t have got the role maybe there would never be such a group fans as the Robsten fans :O
    And I can’t imagine that!

There is so much serendipity in the series it’s unreal. So many things came together that made it work, I still marvel at it. I really hope Robsten last a REALLY long time
