According to The Los Angeles Times:

“The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 1” raked in $139.5 million, according to an estimate from distributor Summit Entertainment. While that was an impressive opening, “Breaking Dawn” still fell just short of breaking the $142.8-million opening weekend record held by the second installment in the series, 2009′s “New Moon.”

Wow! How many times are you going to go see the movie in theaters?

I’ve already seen it once. So so amazing. Everything I hoped it would be and much much more. I’m sure I will see it at least 4 times in theaters if not more. Sad that it didn’t break New Moon’s record, but it still did very well. I am going to predict that it will gross the most of any of the previous movies from the series before it leaves theaters. I think that this movie will really get people talking and get more people coming to watch it just because they curious to see how it turned out. And if the all the other Twihards out there loved it as much as I did, I’m sure they will be seeing it multiple times as well. :D

Very sad it didn’t break New Moon’s record, but New Moon was the peak of the Twilight fandom, so that was to be expected.

I think this will definitely gross more than the previous movies, because a lot of people seem more impressed with this one than others, so hopefully it’ll make a ton more!

I personally can’t wait to see it again!

I loved the movie. I heard such bad reviews of the movie so my expectation was low. But it was really good. As far as the box office goes, I think the movie will make a lot more within this next week because of thanksgiving break.

Even though it didn’t break records. I thought it was the best out of all of them. Bill Condon did an amazing job, and IMO should have directed them all. Breaking Dawn was amazing, I can’t wait for Pt. 2

I just saw it today with my mom and twin sis! It was AWESOME!! LoVed the way Bill Condon handled EVERYTHING!! I loved the way he set up Jacob imprinting on Renesmee so it didn’t come out creepy to non-twilight fans! I loved the honeymoon, the effects for Bella’s pregnancy were phenomenal!!! I was shaking in my seat during the labor scene..whoo! It was GRAPHIC…but just the way it was supposed to be…i think Bill Condon def hit the mark with this one!
