    • Michelle says:

Just finished watching it for the third time (Twice yesterday and once today, I wasn’t aloud to go at midnight because I had an exam yesterday morning, apparently that was more important) and it was amazing! I was worried it was going to be really cheesy because of everything that’s in it (wedding, pregnancy ect) but it was really good :D

  4. chelsea says:

it starts here right now (10pm pacific) i wish i was going. going tmrw tho <3

  5. Sheala says:

Just got back from watching it here in Canada! I thought it was absolutely amazing! The way they made Bella look while she was pregnant was great and all the actors portrayed their characters emotions so well during the entire movie. This was deffinitely a movie made soley for the fans of twilight. LOVED IT!<3

    • Ingrid p says:

I couldn’t agree more!!!! Absolutely loved it!!!!!! I don’t see what people r complaining about. It’s hard to put every single thing you read in a book on film. I think the wedding was beautiful and I def got the ahhhh moment when they showed the full shot of Bella in her dress. Totally fit her beautifully and the back was amazing. The honeymoon was romantic and quirky just like them. The pregnancy was amazing. The way the made her look sooooo sick and near death. All of the actors in this movie have shone growth in their acting abilities and and I was very impressed with Kristen in particular. She really did an amazing job:) all in all I loved breaking dawn 1 the most out of all of the movies and in counting down the days for part 2 !!!!!!

  6. rosa says:

It was beyond amazing!! I loved everything about it!! I even cried at the wedding scene haha and everything was just perfect!!

  7. Elle says:

Honestly, it was the most true to the books since Twilight. Awesome movie!

  8. Jessica says:

omg omg i loved it.. just finished watching it.. it was everything i hoped it would be.. and yes it was honestly true to the book! I couldn’t be more happier with it Everything just fit so perfect and all the actors props to them they have come so far with all these characters and i think that each and everyone of them understand who there playing and how there characters are…. and they play them amazingly!
Cant wait for Part 2! (:

  9. KellyEm says:

THIS MOVIE. Oh my gosh. It was perfect. I was so happy with how much it followed the book and how they weren’t afraid to show the disturbing, violent part of her pregnancy. I was a complete emotional wreck during the birthing scene, and by the time the credits rolled, I was sobbing and laughing at the same time just because I was so happy and amazed at how incredible of a job they did. Excellent job, Bill Condon and the rest of the Summit team. As a true fan of the books, you 100% did it justice.

    • Jasmine Stells says:

oh me too i am soo glad they showed it all because i really thought they weren’t going to due to the younger audience that goes even though these books clearly are not for young children. My sister and I were literally on the edge of our seats while watching the delivery scene and when Bella died OMG i was soooo sad but her transformation into a vamp was a-mazing! the whole movie was just incredible Bill Condon rocks!

    • Daniyah says:

OMG. I SO agree with you, you took the words straight out of my mouth! THIS MOVIE WAS AMAZING. Screw what all the dumb crtics/reviews were saying. THE FANS LOVED IT, AND THATS WHAT MATTERS. it was sooo cute! i cried throughout the whole thing! The movie was just breathtaking! everything was perfect. The honeymoon <3 How she looks when shes pregnant! and even the imprinting scene wasnt even creepy it was soo sweet when jacob falls to his knees! i just absolutley loved it! (: and id ont care what anyone else has to say! good job to bill and everone else! <3

  10. Marie says:

It was absolutely totally PERFECT! The actors were amazing, the scenes were put together great, the movie was true to the book. I was afraid the Honeymoon would be either too explicit or silly, but it was perfect. It was tasteful, beautiful and romantic. Bill Condon is a genius!

Loved it, loved it, loved it. Looking forward to seeing it again and again!!

  11. Erin says:

They completely nailed this movie. It was AMAZING! I have to say I enjoyed watching the emotions of Edward throughout the movie. Rob definitely stepped up his game as well as Kristen. The acting I felt was just on a different level from the other movies (In a good way :) ). One of my favorite parts of the film was when Edward was trying to revive Bella after Renesme was born. You could feel the desperation and Rob did a great job. The movie though is for the fans, so I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who hasn’t read the books or seen the other movies. Overall, GREAT MOVIE and well done cast and crew :D

    • Jasmine Stells says:

Absolutely 100% agree with you Kristen and Rob truly transformed you could definitely see the growth and I was just totally amazed with their performances!

  12. Robyn says:

Just brilliant! Absolutely loved it! I really enjoyed watching a happier, more relaxed Edward in the first half of the movie. Very impressed with the acting from all the main characters, particularly Taylor. I felt the scene with the wolves’ thoughts could have been somehow handled better. It was almost embarrassing, I thought. But apart from this, I was totally enthralled. Fantastic effort! And definitely NOT too long or drawn out! Another hour would have been perfect!

  13. Tabitha says:

I have never once, after watching the midnight premiere’s thought, I need to see that again, to see what I think. Right now, 4 parts ruined it for me. Edward’s killing fest in the beginning, my only reaction was “pffft, nice hat dude”. I thought that that was something they could’ve just told Bella the deal, because honestly, I never like how the flashbacks look. I really didn’t like Bella’s stupid dream of the wedding. Since both of these were in the beginning, I had no hope for this movie. I LOATHED the wolf part. That was an embarrassment to everything Twilight. It wasn’t needed. They could’ve just left them in human form and said at some point that they were telepathic. I’ve never wanted for a movie to just stop, more than that. Lastly, I really didn’t like the venom fixing her at the end. I thought the venom stuff was enough for us to see that she was alive and turning, but I really didn’t like it fixing her spine and everything. It’s not like it looked real and believable. Oh well. However, the rest of the movie was REALLY GOOD. The acting and writing were so good!! I never have liked Taylor, but he did a legit job!! And Rob at the end was ridiculously awesome! He made me cry so much!! He was just phenomenal. Kristen was SO great! The part where they were laughing and being all cute when Edward heard Renesmee’s thoughts was the cutest thing ever and Kristen was SO sweet! I truly believed she was excited to be a mom! So, I’m going to watch it again, and hope that I can see past the parts that I didn’t like and hopefully enjoy it more, now that I know what to look for!

    • Evalynda says:

Omg it’s like you read my mind. Those parts were kind of wierd to watch, but overall the film was beautiful.

    • Bekka says:

Why didn’t you think those parts were necessary? The dream in the beginning is in the book… Not exactly the way it was portrayed but it was close enough. I’m not entirely sure why they added the part with Edward killing people, but it didn’t take away from the rest of the story. I think the flashbacks have always been really well done… Granted, they are the boring parts in Eclipse just because there are so many of them, but they are required to pull all the characters together.

    • Alex says:

Your whole comment is what I was thinking! The dream was supposed to be the crazy vampire baby on top of her dead friends/family not her! The wolf thing was super bad because it was echoing and sounded fake. They should have just left it as a normal voice. Plus the baby Jacob imprinted on looked CGI and was hilarious and scary at the same time. Other than that I LOVED it!

    • Jasmine Stells says:

I don’t understand why everyone had such a problem with the wolf-pack scene I thought it was well done if you read the book they are communicating with each other in wolf form when they talk about Bella and then Sam tries to show off his Alpha self but Jacob rebels and takes his spot. I did not think Bella’s dream was stupid at all I just thought that they put a little twist on it and as far as the Edward story it was just him letting her know that if she did decide to become a vampire the temptation to hunt human life would be there.

  14. alwaysedward says:

@Tabitha – you nailed it for me, EXACTLY – well, except you forgot to write about the music -not a soundtrack I will get and I LOVED the other three. Seriously, I know Twilight was … awkward sometimes but the sweet fantasy was there – this one, I loved the romance….really really loved the romance, in fact all scenes with Bella and Edward were amazing – AMAZING – but …. seriously, CSI in a Twilight movie? please, I can watch that on TV

  15. alice4ever says:

me and my best friend say it last night at the premire. we cryed the whole time because it was so beautifully perfect!!!!! i am expecting to see it several more times!!

  16. Renee says:

Ive seen it the 16th and loved every part of it! I didn’t like the book very much but the movie nailed it. Better than the book for me so i’m happy!!!

  17. Mia says:

There were definitely some corny scenes like when the wolves talked and when Edward had his flash back…totally agree on that part. BUT WOW…the parts that were amazing were REALLY AMAZING. The wedding, the honeymoon…while Bella was looking at herself in the mirror in mesmerizing bliss. Edward freaking out. Jacob was spot on. The imprint was actually really tasteful and quite beautiful. Bella changing!! Oh my goodness! I was scared out of my seat! It was phenomenal!

  18. Twiheart1 says:

*spoiler if u havent seen it* …a/w I loved the movie!! There was definitely some parts in the beginning where it made everyone laugh, but as it got closer to Bella knowing she was pregnant, things definitely changed and started getting intense. I loved all the different ways Bella would try to seduce Edward to sleep with her lol, nd when Jacob imprinted on Renesemee, that was def cute, she had Bellas hair, but Edwards eyes..def looked a bit more like Bella.. The pregnany part was def intense too, the way her back bone cracked, nd she just feel over…the mood for sure changed. I liked the ending though too, how Bella just layed there with a blue dress, changing bit by bit, as the venom spread throughout her body..nd her hair changed, she looked pretty..except when she opens her eyes lol..but that was awsome.. Can’t wait for Part 2 already! Lol ;p

    • Jasmine Stells says:

yeah when Bella’s spine cracked and she fell I was like oh oh oh oh oh! i read the book but seeing it on screen was soooo intense.

  19. Teresa says:

    Spoilers, dont read:

So i watched the midnight showing.. i loved it. True the dream scene of her and Edward at the alter was a bit cheesy. I think it was too fake looking with the blood drip on the face. I felt like it was a bit weird with his flashback scene too, haha the hat was not fit for him though it was necessary since not many people have read the books. I was not a big fan of the dress…i didnt really think it was a beautiful as i imagined it.. sorry. I enjoyed that Emmett finally got to say more than three words and i love the family involvement in this film. Jessica was quite funny at the wedding.. i will miss that character though i was sad to see that they didnt mention how Bella was seeing it as her last goodbye to her human life. The whole Bella and Charlie scene was just great, i totally cried. The honeymoon scene was very tasteful, to see her go through that adult moment and feel the emotion after was just perfect. Her seduction process was quite funny, she was really trying. The effects used to show her deteroration was just absolutely amazing. I mean she totally reminded me of the Captain America scene where he is fragile and sick. I was just amazed with Kristen in this movie, i can say she absolutely took in Bella and embraced the role. I was not a fan of hers the last three films, but i was completely taken aback by the transformation she went through this film. She also looks a whole lot more comfortable doing press and interviews, i am happy she has grown comfortable enough and is coming out even more. The imprinting scene couldnt have been better, the baby will be so beautiful when she comes to age Renesme (sp?) was just amazingly beautiful not much makeup was needed and she just looked great as an adult. I hope we see more of the adult in Part 2, just to have that closure part between her and Jacob since we all know in the real world they are getting older so filming wont resume. The talking between wolfs was a bit funny, but its because they seemed too hyper. Either way how else would they handle it??? Seeing Bella become a vampire and the transformation was pretty cool, and the ending… i was left wanting more. AHHHHH… cant wait until next year. I hope they build a fight scene and its not anitclimatic as the book was. Overall i am beyond happy with the film. I still love New Moon and the others, but i feel like its finally getting there and i will miss these characters. :)

    • Teresa says:

sorry for the spelling.. trying to get it out. I agree with Twiheart1 when Bellas back broke.. totally looked like the Exorcist.. i do agree with Kristen about how Bella should have screamed “Get him out of me!!”

      • Taylorrrrr says:

She did scream it though, from what I remember?
Rosalie claimed how they needed to get him out cause he was dying, and then Bella screamed “Get him out of me!”

I could have sworn she said that, but I could be wrong.

  20. Taylorrrrr says:

Review! Just letting you know, this review is long enough to be an actual review, so yeah… Oh, and major spoilers…

So, I went into this movie, really not having much expectations.
I of course wanted it to be great, but from reading the reviews from Kimmy and Amy, it sounded like it wasn’t the beautiful masterpiece I was hoping for. Plus, the book was my least favorite, so I wasn’t expecting much.

The credits started and… wow. Was I all I had to say. EXCEEDED my expectations by far! Was it the best Twilight? I don’t know, but I do know they did amazing with the material they were given.

All time favorite scene? The birthing scene. As soon as her back broke and she fell, I was completely into it. Bella screams “Get him out of me!” and my mouth dropped! Rosalie stabs Bella, she screams, and the whole theater screamed with her. Rosalie wants the blood, Jacob (or Alice?) tackles her. Edward then starts eating away at her (literally) she screams more, and we all scream with her. She is in so much pain, and I feel it! We are all scared for her, and I’m on the edge of my seat, as with everyone else.
Reneesme (?) is born, we are all happy.
And then… Bella’s face fades to death.
First of all let me say, Kristen Stewart plays a very good dead person. I know makeup and CGI helped with her deteriorating figure (by the way, it looked disgusting but so real), but she really does play death well.
The desperation kicks in, and Edward frantically tries to revive her. I immediately wanted to cry, but then I remembered she’ll turn into a vampire soon enough anyway. But, I still couldn’t be sad for Edward. Rob Pattinson showed the desperation magnificently, I wanted to help!
I loved how they showed the pain on the inside of her, but how she was still dead on the outside.
I can’t wait to see Bella as a vampire, from the glimpse we got, she looks gorgeous (I loved the slow transformation as well).

I prolly overly described this scene, but I couldn’t get enough of it!

Other scenes I loved, that I will describe in less detail…
    - The imprinting scene, I thought it was gracefully done.
    - The scene where that foreign girl comes in and Edward asks for her help with Bella, and she just says Death, it gave me chills…
    - Wedding was beautiful.
    - Honeymoon was beautiful, the sex scenes were tastefully done.
    - Bella and Edwards affection. They were so kissy and touchy, and his constant compliments of how beautiful she is. That’s the Edward we know. Even when she was pregnant, the scene of them two laughing made them look so happy to be married and having a baby. Seemed so real.
    - The acting! So amazing! This really was Kristen Stewart’s movie… It’s so cool to see her grow up into a real actress over the years. Rob was amazing and his desperation felt so real. Taylor was ok as usual for me… Nothing completely special. But, i do feel like he performed a lot better than Eclipse, that’s for sure.
Minor shout outs, go Charlie of course! He is amazing as always. You really felt the anguish he was in when Bella left and when she was sick.
And of course, the high school kids were good.

Now, of course this movie wasn’t perfect, so here are the things I didn’t like…

    - The score or soundtrack. Wasn’t that great in my opinion. Some music felt out of place at times. I liked the music they brought back from past films, but that was about it.
    - The pacing. I realize the scenes they showed were important, but some of the scenes were soooo looong. The honeymoon, my friend I was with leaned over and said “Ok, I’m ready for this to be done now…”. I loved this scene, but I felt some scenes lasted too long.
    - Just like everyone else… the wolf telepathy. I really don’t know how else they could have done it, but the way they did it kind of made me embarrassed as someone else mentioned.
    - Where was the Rosalie and Jacob fights? I loved their “commentary” towards each other in the book, but I feel like they didn’t really care about each other… They are supposed to HATE each other.

All in all, I LOVED the movie. The more i think about it, the more I want to see it all over again. Definitely better than Eclipse in my opinion, but maybe because Breaking Dawn stayed closer to the book.
However, I do think people who haven’t read the books won’t like this movie… There may be things they don’t understand, or just don’t get. But, I personally don’t mind. Cause these movies SHOULD be for the fans anyway.

I hope this movie makes more money than it can handle, and I CAN’T WAIT for part 2!

    • Sammie says:

SAME! I had the exact same thoughts :)

I was sad to see the rosalie jacob commentary taken out…but I feel like it might have been a distraction from the overall dramatic turn the end of the movie took.

Overall my expectations were definitely exceeded (although they were not the highest) and I enjoyed how the movie was far more mature than the others! As it should be :)

ps. Kristen’s acting! So much better! She really embraced the character and left behind the awkward teenager from the first movie!

  21. D.Peck says:

Loved it and will see it again and probably again,,,,,

  22. kiara says:

I really liked the movie. of course their were flaws but all movies have some flaws haha I thought the birth scene was so graphic obviously which was disgusting in a good way :) Kristen and Rob did ALOT better. It broke my heart when Edward said “dont die baby please dont die” do you think they put a dummy of kristen when he was trying to make her heart beat? I really liked EXCEPT for the little part they added in after the few seconds of credits. It was unnecessary for them to add the volturi at the end. Kristen did a great job and like someone said above, she was really good acting dead. Its hard to do that. I would have laughed it i was acting that out. the audience was particularly annoying and laughed at parts that werent funny that drove me crazy. haha BUt i really did like this movie :) yay!

    • Jasmine Stells says:

yeah i think the dead Bella was a dummy but it sure looked pretty darn real! and yeah Edward really got me too when he said baby please don’t die!

      • kiara says:

actually, Bill Condon said in an interview that Kristen blew him away when she was doing the birth scene and acting dead… so that means that it wasnt a dummy! WOW!!

  23. sadye says:

The movie in general was good except for that damn wolf jacob breaking from the pact scene. I actually cringe. They better change the way they interact as wolfs because that was bad. They were better off howling with subtiltes. I don’t mind reading.
The honeymoon and pregnancy were done with the right emontion. I wish they added the dog bowl scene and ” I bite a pillow or two”.

  24. Maddy says:

Just got back from the movie. The last two hours of my life were… I DON’T EVEN REMEMBER!

  25. Allie says:

I loved the movie I just wished they kept more to the book… other than that it was great :)

  26. Kaitlyn says:

I watched it last night and all I can say is it was amazing! I LOVED it!(:

  27. mouse says:

Am I the only one who actually thought the wolf scene was done well considering how hard it would have been to do? Sure it’s probably sloppy and confusing to those who haven’t read the books but I took from the book that the pack mind is pretty sloppy and confusing as it is. Jacob at times couldn’t tell who was saying what in the book. But he could pinpoint Seth and Leah cause they were the loudest protesters for either side.
Granted what I didn’t like was Sam’s “wolf-voice”. It sounded a little too demonic. I think he should sound like himself but then have a bit of an echo when he used the Alpha voice. Not have what I gathered as his Alpha voice the entire scene. I liked that they showed Jake and Seth bowing unwillingly to him and Jake defying him. I guess I can see where that scene gets cheesy. But they needed a way to show the Alpha voice. I just couldn’t think of a way the COULD have made it better.

The rest of the movie, I felt was fantastic. I was bouncing in my seat the whole time. I kind of wished their vows were longer but I loved that everyone disappeared and it was just them kissing to Flightless Bird. I was disappointed though they didn’t have a first dance. Listening to the soundtrack I really thought Iron & Wine would make an appearance and sing the song for them to dance to. I LOVED the speeches. Charlies ramblings cop/Dad ramblings of killing Edward, Jessica’s jealous ramblings about Bella and Emmett hinting at sex but really meaning not being able to sleep as a vampire at the same time was awesome….and Rosalie (I think) whistling at him.

The honeymoon, I wished they did more with the morning after scene. I kind of felt it was more like they broke the bed cause they’re teenagers with raging hormones more than Edward being a vampire with 110 years pent up sexual frustration. I wanted “I owe esme a headboard” and “I bit a pillow..or two”

I do miss the back and forth with Rose and Jake. They needed the blonde jokes and her making the doggy bowl.

The birth scene was FANTASTIC! I wasn’t too convinced that being pg13 would give the scene the agony it needed but I was wrong. Just from the moment Rose cut her open and you hear EVERYTHING. I was on the edge of my seat from that moment til the very end. Bella’s face as she was happy and watching her husband and daughter, then…nothing. Edward’s agony at the thought that he was too late and had lost her, pumping her heart and begging her to stay was heartbreaking and yes, I cried. Even though Ive read the books a billion times, I still feared that she wasn’t going to make it. Jake’s agony as well. When he fell to the ground and BAWLED was so sad.

I loved that they showed even though she laid perfectly still and still looked dead but inside she was screaming, and if I’m not mistaken, I saw a tiny glimpse of the Twilight scene when she was burning from Jame’s bite. I liked showing the venom course through her body attaching itself. The heartbeat as they montage through scenes from the past films as her life literally flashed before her eyes. Hearing her heart beat then…nothing and BAM. Yes a million times. They did this book justice cause it certainly wasn’t my favorite but this movie is now tops over Eclipse for me.

I wished it was slightly longer even though I had to pee sooooooo bad lol. I found the voulturi scene useless as a “teaser” since its shown (in bits) in the TRAILER! I also didnt even quite understand what was going on. My boyfriend who hasnt read the books had to explain it to me. I thought he got the invite. Oh well.

Im planning to see it two more times at least. Cant wait.

    • kiara says:

I didnt mind the wolf telepathy thing :)

    • kiara says:

i had to pee really bad tooo and i agree on everything you said :)

    • Rhnda Bierer says:

I agree with your take on the movie. I was moved to tears as well at the end. I knew too what was going to happen but my emotions gave away to my humanity…..It was so darn sad to see both ED and JAKE dying a little theirselves. I am over all content with the over all takes on the movie. I would have liked the Rose and Jake jokes riddled through the days. I was really on the edge of my seat during the fight scene at the end. It looked hopeless for a minute. Thank God they got home right on time and Jacob imprinted on the baby. Now they are forever bonded….. That makes me happy. I had to pee really bad too but refused to move a muscle………. I stayed threw the credits… Aros wants alot more than just Ed and Alice now.. That is for sure………… Happy to chat with you about the movie… My hubby didn’t go yet; so I can’t say to much to him. He will go tomorrow since the Steelers are not playing. LOL

    • beegy1973 says:

I also missed the bickering between Rose and Jake. And all the blonde jokes, that was missing. And i am all the way with you with the wolf telepathy thing, i loved it. Except for Sam’s voice.. Loved the way Jake opposed or rebeled against Sam and the conversation between Jake and Leah, that empathy could be seen in their conversation. The scene where the wolves go after Esmee, Carlisle and Emmet was great. And next movie’s scene very good.

    • Jasmine Stells says:

Finally someone who has something positive to say about the wolf-pack scene man soo many people are saying it was embarrassing but i thought it was cool i really felt all of their anxiety/fear about what was going on with the cullen clan and I think the reason why Sam’s voice was so strong and “demonic” sounding lol was because he had to have a different tone to show that as the Alpha he was giving an order that needed to be followed. The part when Bella goes into labor is sooooooo intense from the moment she dropped the cup on the floor my sis and I were like oh no here it goes because in the book that’s what happens just before her spine breaks and she goes into labor. I agree with you I thought that the PG-13 rating would limit them but i was pleasantly surprised at everything they were allowed to pull off!

  28. mouse says:

BTW anyone have info on the wedding dress she wore in the dream scene?

  29. HGR says:

Amazing!! All the scenes needed were there plus! I liked how they added in the parts they didn’t cover in the first three. I think they made sure every little thing twihards wanted. The wedding and honeymoon were superb!! When Edward yelled at Bella and then heard the baby those were my two favorites parts. To see them slowly become a family was beautiful. Kristen did a great job being a mom willing to die for her child and Rob when he thought she was. You believed it. Amazing!!

  30. Allie says:

Was the part where edward told bella about his past really in the book?

  31. Farin says:

im only 9 so im only alowed to see bits but im twilight’s biggest fan & i would kill to see it

  32. Connie says:

In my opinion the BEST of the Twilight Saga!!! It gave me goosebumps of excitement to see that it went according to the book!

  33. Cris says:

I have read the books, have all movies so far LOVE Twilight, but have to say that in MY opinion we got jipped. I think the DIRECTOR doesn’t know shit about love. The wedding was too short and not enough of the feel of a real “wedding”. The honey moon sex sceene was a joke, even the music was not the right “fit”. The birth was the best out of all but still didn’t give you the “gotta turn my head” feeling like it should of..thought this director was chosen for his horror movie experience!!! WTF??? I do have to give credit where credit is due, Taylor Lautner’s best acting to date…He impressed me. I think we would of gotten what Stephenie wrote if we had “R” rating. I love this story and HOPE Bill doesn’t mess up part 2.

    • Taylorrrrr says:

My friend right next to me actually thought the wedding and the honeymoon was too long!

I mean, they are actually way shorter in the book, and Bill Condon dragged it out a lot more than the source material, so I thought that was great.
And, the sex scene they had to tone down for the PG-13 rating.

I think we all wanted an R rating, except for the fans that are under 17, and we all know there are a lot of them. Which is the only reason it was R, because they would have lost A LOT of money. Plus, the 13 year olds would have had a riot.

And David Slade, from Eclipse, was chosen for his horror movie expertise.
Bill Condon directed DreamGirls. He is known for his Oscar worthy movies. So, he is the “famous” director lol.

      • Jasmine Stells says:

totally agree with you Taylorrrrrr there was nothing wrong with the way that Bill Condon did the movie. Their are serious time constraints to follow so the wedding and the honeymoon were fine you have to understand that there needed to be room for the pregnancy and the delivery so the honeymoon and the wedding could not be dragged out. Bill Condon is not a horror movie director, David Slade is get the facts straight. So you didn’t like his direction well whatev Stephenie Meyer is heavily involved in the entire movie making process so she gives alot of input without her those scenes would not have made it in. And as far as the honeymoon scene I thought it was tastefully done like Taylor said they had to tone it down for all those underage people.

  34. Specialdiet says:

Not too enthusiastic about the film. Loved Bella trying to seduce Edward and the wedding. Though that Renesmee looked like an animatronic baby and hated the wolf talk. Thought Kristen and Rob’s acting was brilliant and they gave a credibility to a terrible script from Melissa Rosenberg. I think Summit should fire the hair and make-up department: Carlisle’s wig, Emmetts shiny face and Rob’s strange straight hair, were awful!

    • Taylorrrrr says:

Not trying to argue with a fellow Twihard, but I actually thought the script was a lot better than the previous movies.

Bella and Edward actually showed affection, yes it was in their acting, but the script too. They actually said I love you. Edward called her beautiful (which, if I’m not mistaken, he hasn’t said that yet). Edward acted more like Edward with his words.

I dunno, I actually liked Rob’s hair this time around. And didn’t notice the other two.
I thought Alice’s hair fir the part this time around.

And, can we be thankful they didn’t have the same hair from Eclipse? I think I would have shot myself right there in the movie theater if they did.

      • Jasmine Stells says:

again I agree with you Taylorrrr I loved the script and I absolutely adored the love between E and B because we haven’t really seen that before or seen him let go and really kiss Bella with such passion. I didn’t have a problem with the hair at first I did when i saw the trailers but while i was watching the movie i was like this is fine and Kristens hair looked better than in Eclipse lol!

  35. Rhonda Bierer says:

I loved the movie! It was everything I expected and can’t believe you are making fans wait another entire year for part 2. Oh that is one outfit I won’t want of bella’s……….. The Big Blue T-Shirt and Sweat pants. She can keep them. I already know the baby loves them all so much…I have seen beautiful pictures already. Good luck in all of your futures… I know I will be seeing alot of Kristen…. I heard Rob is ready to retire. He is getting up there………..112 yrs. old give or take a year..LOL>>>>>>

  36. Robyn says:

By the way, Allie, Edward telling Bella about his past when he drifted away from Carlisle and Esme to go off on his own was actually in the first book, Twilight.

    • Rhnda Bierer says:

Yes I remember it vividly! He only killed wicked people who needed killed. So that is ok by me. They are all decent vampires now and that is all that matters…..As far as the soul controversy goes. It says that love conquers all and I see alot of love in that family…. Generosity covers a multitude of sins. So does Love. Remember when he was under the clock tower and bella jumped in his arms. He whispered HEAVEN…. So there is a reason he believes what Carlisle has spoke of at one time or another…. Nice chatting about the movie..

    • beegy1973 says:

It was great to see that part of Edward’s back story come to life, it was a very cool scene.

  37. nelly says:

OH my goodness ! This was the VERY best twilight movie so far . And just fantastic. It was close to the book for the most part but i loved the little extra things they added to make it funny or serious . I LOVE LOVE LOVED the wedding bella look gorgeous that was such a great wedding dress for her and i loved kellan (emmett ) little speech it was hilarious xD . The honeymoon was cool too and seeing bella become all motherly and protective of her baby and then the birth scene was kinda creepy but cool it was so creative to like show the venom spreading and I LOVED the ending how she opened her eyes and they were red cause she was a newborn that movie was awsome !

  38. Kris says:

My favorite movie so far of the whole series. I LOVED IT! Can’t wait to see it again. The wedding was beautiful and how hot did Rob look in this movie?! Too cute! I loved his hair too! OBSESSED!

  39. beegy1973 says:

i have to say that opposed Kimmy’s comment about the wolves part being the most predictable, I LOOOOVED THEM!!!! I have to say that this is the first time I can say I liked Kirsten in this movie. The make up, the change, spectacular. Jacob’s and Renesmee’s imprinting fantastic. And the final goodby to Charlie it got me to tears. The fighting scene great. And Jacob’s claiming his alfa inheritance the best scene for me. There you have it, the best moments of the movie for me. May I say the honeymoon was hilarious, just loved it.

  40. Anya says:

The wedding was brilliant!! Kristen looked totally gorgeous and her dress was amazing! it was so similar to how I pictured it would be!! Emmet was hilarious and Jessica made me want to fall on the floor from laughter because she was so funny! The dancing scenes with Jasper and Alice and Carmen and Eleazer was really good too!!
I actually liked the wolf voice thing. i like how they finally put that into one of the movies, i just wish that it was just their voice, and not some added deep thunder effect to make it seem more menacing, I think their normal voices would have been fine. And I wished they also did that for when Jacob was telling Sam that he had imprinted on Renesme so that I could hear him say “STOP! I LOVE HER!” but hopefully something like that will come in the second part.
I like the honeymoon, it wasn’t too long or too cheasy and it was great when bella was trying to seduce him and when Edward would have to get away from her because she was tempting him. Overall, it was very romantic and cute!
I wish there was more of the parts where Rosalie and Jacob are fighting and how she made the dog bowl for him and all of the blonde jokes he said to her!!!!!!! But I guess it would’ve just dragged it out and there were plenty of funny moments anyways!!:):):)
The way they made bella look when she was pregnant was absolutely amazing though, and the birth scene was very intense, I was amazed at how they showed her spine breaking and all, it was very well done and I enjoyed every second of it.
I loved the fight at the very end and how Edward said “They are not going to hurt my family!” Because the book is from Bella’s point of view, we would never had seen that and it was just well done.
It was definetly the best movie for me so far and i can’t wait to see the second part next year!!!!!

  41. Regina says:

I loved it. It was funny, sad, epic and retarded at the same time. Way to stay true to the book. Can’t wait to see part 2. If you have not seen it yet, stay for the credits. There is someting you need to see.

  42. teressa says:

i absolutely loved this movie! thought it was the best twilight by far. the acting was so surprising for me…the whole time i was wondering how kristen was going to be able to pull off happy…and she did so well with this. as she was walking down the aisle (and waiting) the scared nervousness that she showed, i totally thought was good and just was how i felt too. there was so much love and happiness between them. and the birth was so well, the desperation, jacob’s misery with her ‘death’ – beautiful! i was wondering how they were going to do all the ‘wolfy’ stuff, wasn’t to thrilled with the telepath…just was garbled. however….the imprinting was great!
can not wait til part 2!

  43. Kim says:

I think that the director of Breaking Dawn should be beaten. After all the hard work that the crew, actors, and actresses have put into these movies for the last few years they should be furious with the way he directed this VERY IMPORTANT last book! I’m sure at the preview of Breaking Dawn they walked out just like I did saying “what the crap!!!” Not only was the music awful, and did not fit The Twilight Saga at all, but the acting looked strained because he rushed the movie SO much they couldn’t actually act in it. And I LOVE Taylor Lautner, Ashley Greene, Kristen Stewart, Rob Pattison and the rest of the cast. They have always made Twilight come to life perfectly and exactly how we would have invisioned it, because they are so awesome. The wedding was beautiful and just how we would imagine it, the birth was gruesome just like we imagined it, but IT WAS ALL SO RUSHED the actors didn’t even have time to present the acting they are capable of. Again, not to mention the music! The director of this one absolutely 100% stunk!!! From the very beginning of the movie, you were wondering where the crap you were cause it sure as heck wasn’t the mesmorizing, on the edge of your seat, can’t wait for the next one to come out Twilight Movie that you were ready to see even before you left the movie theatre seeing the other. It was some hideous joke!!! Sure do hope they fire the director and maybe bring back a director from one of the previous 3 movies. Hopefully in the second part one of them can clean up the mess this diector made of the Saga. I wonder how Stephanie Meyer felt about this one………..

  44. Kaylee says:

I thought the whole movie was amazing! I felt like i was watching the book, its how i pictued it and more dialouge from the book was in it (I think?) I cannot wait to see part 2:)

  45. Carrie says:

Honestly…it is really hard at times to take something from a book and transfer it to the screen and get the same reaction. But, I do feel that this was done very well. I truly felt the emotion and feel that the acting has def. come a LONG way since Twilight. The actors have def. grown and you can really feel the chemistry between Bella(Kristen) and Edward(Rob). I can’t wait to see it again. I went to the premiere and am going to see it again over the holiday…possibly two or three more times!!! And will be sad when it goes off in the theaters because it will be around Spring Break when it comes out!!!

  46. marion says:

I loved it. I twas funny (especially Charlie, Jessica and Emett), sad. I loved Kristen’s act, she did so well, I loved when she was about to take her bath. I thought it was really sad and beautiful. And I also loved when she tried to seduce him and Edward’s reaction to that, it was so funny and cute. And WELL of course my favorite scene is at the end ofthe movie, when she opens her eyes. So perfect. Can’t wait next year to see part 2.

  47. becca says:

I’ll be honest, I 100% disagree with your post. As someone who read the twilight saga when it came out (I believe I was 12 at the time, so 7 years ago?, hopefully my timing is right lol), I always felt the playlist for the movies was off. Don’t get me wrong, they’ve done a fantastic job of using AMAZING artists, but that doesn’t mean they did a good job of incorporating it into the movies.

Before they made the movies (or were even thinking of making the movies) I created my own “twilight” playlist, and every song was light, airy and fun. The music that they put in the past 3 movies (I personally felt) was always unfitting. The movies were meant to encompass young love at its finest. The twilight movies could have been fun and exciting. Instead they made me feel like I was an emo 12 year old girl constantly whining about my life. Not exactly the way actual 18 year old girls act (at least the ones that fit societal norms)

Breaking dawn (while having its incredibly cheesy moments) was one of the first times I felt the actors actually ACTED the parts. The feelings that you got when bella and edward were together in this movie were how I imagined them to be in twilight. Its the first time I’d say I was actually attracted to Robert Pattinson’s character as Edward. The first time I saw Bella as she should have always been. If anything, this movie was the epitomy of their acting careers in the twilight saga.

That being said, I loved the movie but there were still some incredibly cheesy moments that had me laughing at its ridiculousness (When the wolves were talking, Jacobs voice just sounded silly and I couldn’t help but laugh out loud).

The twilight movies in my opinion have never been “quality” but that doesn’t mean I haven’t loved each and every one of them. And I’m very much looking forward to part 2 :)

  48. Jessie says:

The movie, in my opinion, was absolutely beautiful from start to finish. The wedding was everything I imagined and more. Edward’s speech was so great. Rob and Kristen were truly phenominal in this one. They brought out the true heartfelt love and relationship between Edward and Bella. The love scene was perfect. It was a love scene, beautiful and not too much, just graceful and sweet. Very romantic. I also loved, how in the beginning, they showed a little part of Edward’s past. I thought that was so neat.
Robert, Kristen, and Taylor’s performances was outstanding. Everything I dreamed for Edward, Bella, and Taylor. They portrayed the book wonderfuly. I was so elated inside with everyone in this movie. I was also on a emotional/scared ride during the birth scene lol. It was heart-wrenching, even though I knew what was going to happen, and that she would come back, but still I was freaking out. This proves the actors really hit it home. Especially, when Edward is trying to bring her back, and you can see his pain. He says, “Please, don’t leave me baby.” I nearly cried. Robert was spectacular in this part, and of course the others too. I am so excited to see Bella as a Vampire, that part looks amazing!!
This movie was so emotional and this one is my favorite just because it seems so much more mature and long awaited for, and I am proud to say it was worth the wait!

  49. Katie says:

I liked the movie a lot, but I would still have to say Twilight is my favorite….

I have always liked the soundtracks they pick for these movies, but I’m not always satisfied about where the songs are placed in the movies — as was the case with Breaking Dawn.

Yes, there were some really cheesy parts (ESPECIALLY the wolf telepathy…ugh — I literally grimaced when I watched that), but I loved Rob, Kristen, and Taylor’s acting in this one! They really seemed to commit to their characters. Not that they haven’t before, but it felt so much more like the book this time around. I don’t cry during movies because I’m just really stone-hearted lol, but I have to say the birth scene at the end had my eyes watering, what with Edward’s obvious desperation and Jacob’s crying :(

Overall, I thought it was a good movie, I’m glad I saw it, and I think I’d like to see it a second time to…review my thoughts on it lol.

  50. Alison says:

AMAZING!!! Couldn’t have asked for anything more. This movie stayed truer to the book than any previous movie, and it felt so genuine. You could really tell that everyone was completely committed and passionate about their characters. There are parts that will make you laugh, and this is the first movie of the series that actually made me cry. The emotions felt so real. I feel like I literally got to watch the book come to life. There are so many things that they could have really screwed up and made cheesy, but they handled everything really well. Everything from the wedding to the birth and transformation to the imprinting was handled beautifully. LOVED LOVED LOVED IT!!! Can’t wait to go watch it again.

  51. Laura says:

I have just come home from watching Breaking Dawn and oh my Lord, I absolutely LOVED LOVED LOVED it!!!!! It was as good as it could possibly be given the restriction of a 12A/PG13 rating and I thought every single actor stepped up their game, the most obvious one being Kristen Stewart who at times has annoyed me with her lack of emotion on her face but this time she totally went there and I am so grateful that she did. Every moment that I wanted to be blown away by, I was with one little exception. I thought the moment Jacob imprinted wasn’t quite strong enough and I’m hoping they will make more of it in Part 2.

I thought the wolf telepathy was very good and really the only way that could be done and my all time favourite moment was watching the venom in Bella’s blood heal her and when she opened her eyes was amazing. I would have happily stayed to see the next part!!! The effects they used to make Bella look so ill and so thin were incredible and she looked worse then even I had imagined when I read the book.

The wedding and honeymoon were just beautiful and the speeches at the wedding were very funny. Overall the absolute best in the saga so far and I cannot wait for Part 2. Bring it on, Mr Condon!!!!!

  52. Rachel says:

I don’t get how some people only feel “so-so” about this movie?! It was sooooo amazing! Someone else said it wasn’t just a Twilight Saga movie, this movie was a REAL movie. Absolutely breathtaking!

  53. Loren says:

I saw the movie yesterday. I loved it! I agree with all the others that the wolf scene was a little awkward and it kinda made me feel like I was watching a corny sci-fi tv-show. But, that being said, it was a difficult scene to portray. Something that just doesn’t adapt from the page to the screen that well.

My favorite parts were in the beginning with the wedding and the honeymoon. I also like the birthing scene where Bella’s vision is blurring out and everything is so loud. You can feel the confusion/pain. And, at the end where you could hear her heartbeat as she was changing into a vampire, and then it suddenly stops.

  54. Danielle says:

i loved it. Thats all there is too it! I absolutly loved it!

  55. Louise says:

I have seen the movie three times now and I am in such shock everytime I’ve seen it.

It starts out so beautifully.. I love the moment we see in the beginning, with the cullens being more “vampierish” and Bella more “humanish”.. and I absolutley love the moment Bella looks up and sees Edward.. It Is a small moment, but a moment we’ve had in every movie.. where Bella sort of looks at Edwards and just knows.. She loves him. And now.. You could really tell she does.

What I loved about this movie was how we finally got to see the vampires being more vampirish.. Using their speed and strenght, we haven’t really seen how they use it in their reality before.. I loved the bachelor part.. Even though It looks a bit wierd when they jump up on the window, I just think It Is a part of the charm. I love the moment before, with Edward and Bella.. Sure, Edwards backstory looks a bit cheesy but I love that we finally got to see something more.. different from him.. And I love how absolutely sure Kristen Is. You can tell by the look in her eyes that she is completely confident in everything she thinks and and everything knows. She finally knows herself and I love how we see her grow from all the awkwardness to complete safeness.

The wedding scene.. was so breathtaking. The first time I saw Kristens dress I literally stopped breathing. It was just perfect and the pattern was amasing.. It was just.. So beautiful.. and I love that we get to see Stephanie even from a brief moment- that made it so much more emotional for me. And to be honest.. Bellas nervousness.. was not only Bellas, but you could tell Kristen was as well and that made it so real for me. It was honest, beautiful.. and it the moment she sees Edward.. and you see the happiness in his face.. It’s like every little piece of the pussle just falls to place. All the sudden everything just makes sence and you know.. this is the moment we’ve been waiting for. I also loved the music.. It was absolutely perfect from the beginning till the end and to hear flightless bird play when they said their values… gave me chills, made tears come to my eyes.. and It was the first time In a long time that Twilight really came back to me. It was a moment that made me realise we really are on our way to an end. It was a “twilightisk-moment.” The speeches was PERFECTLY written.. Emmett is definetly a guy I want at my wedding! Renee is just beyond funny and so perfectly human and so perfectly mommy! I wish we could have had more speeches.. but.. Edwards final speech.. “I’ve waited for what seems a very long time, to get beyond what I am..” gave me goosebumps and tears steaming down my face. It just feelt.. Completely right. It was another “twi-moment” that made me realise why I loved this story from the beginning.. and how close It Is to give us the end.

The honeymoon was beyond amasing. I loooved the part in the sea.. It made me squeak as a girl who just got her first kiss and I heard several girls around me groan.. I think the sex-scene was perfect.. Ofc you want more, but as a PG-13 movie I think It was more then enough.. the song was perfect, the headboard was such a great extra part.. and the part where Bella sitts up and kisses Edward on his shoulder.. I feelt butterflys in my stumic and I rememberd how It was to make love to my first love.
I love the part in the beginning where Bella stands by the mirror and has the images in her head from the night before.. It really gives us a harmonic moment with complete happiness. I love how she touches herself, remembering.. feeling more perfect then ever. I love seeing Kristen so secure, so.. natural and so.. happy. She has really made Bella go from awkward to .. absolutely secure in herself. I love how she then really starts to become sexy.. dressing up in sexyunderwear.. and I love Robs reaction.. Soooo funny he made me meelt and giggle. Then I loved all the emotions we got to see Bella have.. her crying.. People who’s complained about Kristens acting can now stick something up their ases.. Haha, sorry my language.. Then I loved how they played around.. How Edward was vampireish with her.. Running away from her – and I loved seeing Kristen with a tan, she looked sooooooooo beautiful. I also loved that they made Edward speak portoguiese – another vampire thing that was taken from the book. Another think that made the smaller parts a great part.. and Rob has really good pronunciation. The honeymoon was everything It was supposed to be, beautiful, loving, happy, great and just.. It had everything It should, I just wished It could have been longer. And the only thing that botheres me is the “LA-Push” that suddenly cuts into the honeymoon..It sort of ruins the harmony.. I wish they could have cut it in after the honeymoon, but you know, I get it..

I love how It turns out when we get to see Bella sick.. It Is a perfect part for the audience who hasn’t read the books. Many thinks she’s actually sick or that she’s been bitten when Jacob is on his way to the cullens.. and then gets so chocked when Bella gets up. Kristen looked so sick it made me cringe.. The part in the shower gave me a stumpicpain and I just wanted to reach my hand out to touch her.. Help her. The burning man as many has complained about I understand is disappointing, but It Is such a hard face to put on.. and I think once the birthingscene actually comes – we really get to see that burning man.

Many also complained about the wolfpart where Jake runs and the others can hear his thoughts. I personally – think It looks fan-made done and I love the result.. I loved hearing everyonce voices together. I admit It sounds a bit cheese when they speak – like when Jake says “I Will Not”.. But at the same time I think It was really well done – because It Is exactly what I saw in my head when I read it.. When Sam made Jake bow down, I cringed.. It really hurt.. and I dont even like jacob now and then.. but this made me whisper “Jake..” with a tear in my heart. I personally – loved it!

Booboo as Seth is perfect. He really is Seth.. and I love his goodness. I actually like Leah in the book, once I understood her.. and I love how they showed who she is in the movie – like when Esme came with the food.. Small things that really follows the book. .But.. I would like to see a bit more .. sorrow from her.. sorrow and kindness you actually get to feel in the book.

I wish we could have seen a bit more interference with Rosalie and Bella. Rosalie is not supposed to leave her side – which she does.. and I wish the explanation to why Rosalie helped her could have been a bit clearer. I would also have like to seen the part where Edward asks Jake to give Bella puppies so Bella could explain.. “It’s because It’s edwards baby”.. that she wants it. But I hope It went through. I would also like to see a bit more interference between jacob and rosalie.. as well as alice and jacob.. small things I’m guessing they didn’t have time to fit in.

The part where Bellas back cracks – is exactly as I Imagined It. Kristens experssion on her face is perfect – buuut.. The cgi-frequence is a bit bad there.. It doesn’t look really real.. and from there.. It just goes downhill. Kristens screaming is as desperatly as Bellas – which I love, her screaming made the pain go through.. and then everything just feelt like a horror movie. Seeing Rosalie cutting her stumic open was almost sickening.. It made me cringe and I almost wanted to scream as much as Bella. Everything went so fast and everything feelt so horrible and there was a fue times I was thinking “what the hell is going on”.. even though I knew what was going to happen. It was definetly different seeing it, then reading it. It was reallllly well made.. and what I liked about this.. was how “jacob-fans”.. actually was disappointed with Jacob, with how fast he gives up.(Those who hasn’t read the books).. They thought he would fight harder, which I think Is a great think taken from the book – remember how Jacobs connection suddenly disappears once Reneesme is taken out of her body? Also a painful thing.. Hearing Edwards teeth.. It was .. It was like a horrormovie for me in a moment.. And It was really painful, I cringed severaltimes.. But I think It was amasingly made. They really stuck to the book – more then ever, which I am so glad to see.

Edwards desperation was worst of all. In the moment she actually ..dies.. my whole body started cringing.. I cried heavily.. The desperation in his voice.. The way he tried to revive her.. It was so painful.. It was so emotional.. So strong.. and you could tell how he really didn’t wanna live without her.. He never gave up.

The wolf-fighting scene was a real shocker to me, since It Isn’t in the book. I was really scared at the moment it only was Alice, Edward and Jasper.. and the moment they actually caugt Alice I was scared It was over.. But It was well made and gave a lot more action which sort of was needed. This movie had more twists and turns then any other movie and It made you panic several time – and to make so many twilight fans cringe, stop breathing, crying and so on.. Is something that says “You succeded.”

The imprinting scene.. Is uncomfortable. I think It Is a beautiful way to show it.. I just wish the CGI could have been a little bit better. It looked a little bit to much.. fantasy-like..

It Is a bit the same with the transformation for Bella.. I like how they show that It goes into her system and how It makes her burn inside.. The part where Kristen screams make her look a bit “exorcistens-a like”.. But! Once again.. The CGI- was a bit .. It could have been better.

Breaking Dawn definetely delivers. It suddenly brings the book to life and has details that Twilight-fans will love. The music is perfect and so soothing. The scenes are wellmade, there are so many lines from the books and the acting is better then ever! Kristen delivers more then ever. She has gone from the insecure girl from twilight to the secure selfknowing woman in Breaking Dawn. She is so harmonius and passionate.. and she has developed Bella to a totally different woman. Robert also brings another amasing performance. His performance in the birthingscene is the best I’ve seen him in. He makes every person in the audience cringe with pain. I could never have expected so much from him. I think each and every person in the movie made this movie to what It was. Bill Condon has really succeeded. The only thing I can complain is the CGI that in some moments could have been a bit better.

This is definetely the most different movie from the saga – as well as the book is..and you can really tell the fifth movie is going to be something really different.. and I cant wait to see what It delivers.

  56. Jennifer says:

Just got back from watching it. AMAZING! I loved every bit of it and they ended it just how I hoped with bella opening her eyes as a newborn

  57. Jennifer says:

just got back from watching movie. AMAZING! They did everything so perfect and ended it just how I would hope. Bella opening her eyes as a newborn. So worth the wait. Would have prefered a short intermission and then dive right into #2, but that’s ok. Can’t wait for part 2

  58. Jessica Rosalie says:

I loved every scene in the movie. the jokes that were made by Emmett were really fun. Her dress the way the wedding was decorated. The honeymoon, and most of all I loved the pregnancy scene. Kristen looked so scary, and the birth scene was crazy never thought they would make it look so good. Plus Edward was Aww all the way when his Daughter was born. And I Actually got to watch it Twice and hoping to go watch it again.

  59. Cassie says:

This movie has its up’s and downs.
Pros- Most true to the book! The cast really do look like the characters, the all have improved their acting so much. They really fell into their characters which leave you hungry for part two. Wedding scene beautiful. So breath taking. Bella’s face during the wedding was enough to make you cry. Completely believable. Now lets move onto the good stuff… Honeymoon! I think every person in that movie theatre was wanting their own Edward Cullen. Beautiful. Just so beautiful. The was Kristen and Robert act together in this movie is so much better than any of the movies before. The sex scene was georgeous. So tastefully done. Classy. Showed the sweet side, not a horned up version of it. The pregnancy was soo true to the book! It was beautiful, Kristen really got the right amount of emotion in the scenes. As did Rob! Transformation! Amazing! You felt there. Got me crying! When Edward was feeling and listening to his baby for the first time was so sweet and you could just feel the love.
Cons- Taylor has had better! And more lines! Music wasnt as true to the saga, more pop then what us fans are used too. But it works. At times. Like others were saying it was rushed. We could have had more pregnancy. More wolf and vampire action, more Bella and Edward time. But I dont think any of us could ever have enough of that! ;) When Jacob was breaking apart from the pack was dumb. It was more of like an old 90′s cartoon then some powerful scene.

I loved this movie. Saw it one time and trying to find someone to take me to see it about 100 more times!

  60. Louise says:

I’ve seen the movie 3 times all ready.. The first day was during the Twi-day in Malmo, Sweden! It was 546 seets – sold out.. and we got to see all the movies from the beginning til the end – and in the end ofc.. It was Breaking Dawn. The age in the audience was a lot older then I expected. Men and women that was over 30 were the bigger crowd – which was really great actually. There were only a fue teenagers – but teenagers that were upon 18 and older(like me) and that had a huge amount of respect – which was really nice. We had competitions and we could win the movies, a couple of posters and the breaking dawn soundtrack.. Ofc.. I didn’t win. Haha, but.. That didn’t really matter. The staff was great, but I think they were used to a younger audience .. They started screaming “SO WHO’S TEAM JACOB?” and got a really low response.. then the older women reacted a little bit more with the team edward thing, but It was really like they were trying to a party started.. But I can tell you this.. It was bubbling anyways. During the movies .. You could really feel everyones nervousness. It was really wierd watching twilight.. It was so different and only by watching the Breaking Dawn trailer.. You could tell It Is two different movies. It was great seeing all movies though.. It really feelt like it was the first time again and it was wonderful to laugh with everyone, cry with everyone and to hear some people say lines at the same time..! It was a real “twi-night”.. which was great! Once Eclipse was over.. you could really feel the butterflies.. We all stood up, applauding and screaming.. then the lights came on and everyone started talking nervously.. After a quick brake we all sat down again and It was an excited buzzing around the audience. Once again the staff did everything they could to make us feel excited and once they said “It’s finally team… Breaking Dawn Part 1″ everyone lit up, started screaming and applauding. After one last contest It was time.. and everyone sat down and It was literally like you could feel everyonce heartbeats. The lights got turned of.. and as the big screen started counting down with “5 .. 4 .. 3 .. 2 .. 1 ..” we all counted down with It. All the sudden the big polarbear were on the big screen and the movie started.. Besides the sound from the movie you could have heard a pin drop. It was so quiet, so nervous, so exciting..

The movie was absolutely amasing. It started so beautiful. The moment Bella comes out with her wedding shoes made everyone laugh out loud. It was so great to see all the Cullens a little more “vampirerish” and to see Bella so “humanish”. I’ve been wanting to see more then their “gifts” in battles.. Now we finally got to see how they use It In “their normal life”. I love the moment.. When Bella looks up and sees Edward.. It was a moment that made the audience go “awh..” In a longing “Ah” sound.. Haha.. You could really feel a beautiful connection, only by that.. and by that one look.. Bella said so much. Another moment that made the audience crack up was the moment Renee runs up the stairs and Charlie comments the graduationcaps.. and she just goes “How clever!” For us twi-hards It was a true inside joke!

I loved the looks between Charlie and Bella.. The whole audience smiled just like Bella when they saw Charlie. He looked so great.. and Renee is such a mom.

Another moment that was a personal favourite for me.. was the Edward flashback. I know It looked a bit cheese.. But I think It was a missing part and I love the flashbacks.. but It was the certainness in Bella that made me love that scene.. As well as I love the moment when Emmett and Jasper comes.. Once again.. more vampirish-parts.. especially when they run away..

The wedding was more then fantastic. I think we all held our breath when we saw Bellas nervousness.. Something I also think Kristen herself was. When they started walking.. It was almost like you were there. It felt like you were ready to stand up yourself..
It was a great thing to see Stephanie, another moment that made every twi-hard take a deep breath. We could only Imagine what It must mean to her.. Then comes the moment.. The moment she lockes eyes with Edward and everyone knows.. This is right. This.. Is love. Edwards happiness really lit through. Bellas dress was absolutely fantasticly beautiful. I myself took a deep “awh” breath once I saw It follow her back. The patterns were perfect and It fitted her so well. Once “Flightless bird” started playing in the background I think every single Twilight fan went into a “trance”. You could hear people weeping – and I was certainly one of them. It was such an emotional thing.. and It had been such a beautiful journey and this was a feeling.. of a beginning of an end.

The speeches was absolutly PERFECT! They made the whole wedding fall into place – and personally Emmett is a guy I would love to have at my wedding. Jessica was as human as always – which also is perfect. Charlie made everyone crack up and Renee.. Made us all lay down laughing on the ground. The most perfect speech.. was Edwards.. “I’ve waited for what seems to be a very long time, to be beyond what I am. And with Bella I feel like I can finally start”.. That went straight to my heart and It made my realise why I understood Edward and Bella belonged together from the beginning. I would have liked to see more of the wedding, but fine.. We got a beautiful Bella and Jacob dance.. Which I thought was incredible cute until Jake ofc ruined it.. I would have want to see a faughter/daughter dance between Bella and Charlie and I would have like to have seen a real dance between Bella and Edward.. Something we’ll probably get in the xtras?(hope!!) Besides that .. everything was perfect. The music was incredible. Absolutely right for every moment. I also love the song that plays when Bella and Edward takes of.. And even though I am a “Team Edward” gal.. My heart broke once I heard Jake howl.

I loved the honeymoon! I loved that they included Edwards portugiese.. and I couldn’t help to dance around in my seat once they came to Rio! When they finally came to Isle Esme.. I almost got tears in my eyes. It was exactly like I’ve imagined It.. and It just got better and better.. Once again we get a human moment, which was perfect for the audience who started laughing.. and then.. once they finally got out in the water.. I think we all feelt butterflies in our stumics. I would hear people swoon all around me.. and once Edward said “You look so beautiful”.. my heart melted.. And suddenly It just became steaming hot. The kissing in the water was hot.. and then they got in and I finally got a little giggle out of Bella that made me smile like a little girl. The sexscene.. was really such a beautiful love scene. It was so beautiful to see how Edward lothes him self once the headboard breaks, but how she trusts him.. and how she wants him.. and we just then get to see how they love eachother. You could tell every persons pulls was high and everyone was in this harmonic, beautiful trance.. When she finally wakes up and this mess is around her we actually didn’t need to hear the “I bit a pillow or two”.. Everyone understood It anyway.. Instead I love the part where Bella stands in the bathroom, touching her neck, imagining, remembering, feeling.. And then we get to see another moment where they sit up, and Bella kisses Edwards shoulder.. and you can tell It Is so gentle, It Is so much passion,so much love, happiness .. It’s harmonic. It’s lovemaking.. and I love the moment where Bella stands in the bathroom with the song “Turning page” and they sing “I surrender who’ I’ve been for who you are..” It Is perfect song. So beautiful .. Then the overprotective Edward ruins the beautiful moment and It Is so fun to hear Bella say “Now I’m sort f pissed actually”.. There is so much more humanity in this movie. All in all. I love how Kristen has developed. She has not only developed Bella, but in herself. She’s gone from the awkward, insecure girl to the absolutely selfsecure, selfknowing woman there is. And the moment she takes on the sexy underwear and stands infront of Edward Is just right on. I looooooooove Edwards reaction.. Once again – all the sudden It’s like humanity. Pure happiness. And I think It was a bit more Robness as well.. And the whole audience giggled with him. Then It was beautiful to see Kristen with a tan .. and It was so fun seeing Edward running and playing with Bella.. It was just pure joy. Everything was perfect.

When the “La-push” scene steps in .. I am a bit disturb by it. It ruins my bubble of happiness and harmony. But.. I understand, we need to update the audience on whats going on in reality.. And faster then enough we are back at the honeymoon, watching Bella eat bad chicken – throwing up. Which was a great part because the audience actually really was discusted by it.. Which I thought was funny.. but we were back faster then enough once we heard Edward say “Through sickness and health…” ooh.. Can you love this man any more all ready?

And all tha sudden.. the movie takes a turn. The pregnany takes a turn and I think they introduce It in a great way when Jake goes to Bella.. But.. I would have like to see a bit more interaction between Jake and Rosalie as well as Jake and Alice.. Bella though.. Looks absolutely horrible. I got stumicpain watching her.. and Kristen manages to deliver a performance .. so believable It hurts. It hurts just watching her. Those who says she’s a bad actress can stick something up their.. It Is such a journey and wow.. She handles It so amasingly. She really knows what she’s doing.. One thing I miss though Is Edward actually offering Bella by saying “Jake, you can give her puppies”.. So that we can hear exactly why she does this.. “Because It’s Edwards”.. I would have liken to hear It.. But hopefully It went through for those that hasn’t read the books.

I know many has complained about the wolfpack scene. I think I am one of the fue who absolutely loves it. I think they interacted in the heads – just like It Is discrabed in the book. It might be a bit cheese, but with this amount of time I think they did a great job and I’ll tell you.. I am a team edward gal.. FULLY.. but when Sam made Jake bow down.. My heart broke and I sadly whispered “Jake….” The wolfs looked great though.. I loved how they were made. But I was very shocked by the part where Carlisle and the others go to get blood to Bella and the wolves actually get a hold of Esme.. That was a moment I didn’t think was possible – but It was a great way to get everyone of their seats.

I love how the movie all the time develops.. Bella is first alone in this, doing everything she can for her dad to be calm.. I love the “pizza” part.. She is so strong.. and even though It’s so hard for her.. She isn’t doubting what she’s doing.. and I love how Edward for once raises his voice to her.. “We were supposed to be partners remember..” That made me cringe. I feel for Bella.. But I feelt for him. It was heartbreaking for both parts… but in the end.. when edward walked out.. I feelt Bellas loneliness.. Ofc Edwards cant hold it against her in the end and finally comes back.. and to see the part where they sit together, hearing renesmee, giggeling..was one of the most beautiful moments I’ve ever seen In the saga. There was sort of a .. small line of happiness that laid in the back of the movie through the whole movie. There was always small parts of happiness. But It was so hard watching her .. die.. She looked so sick.. and the moment she goes into the bathroom for a bath and takes of her wardrobe.. It Is a heartbreaking moment to see her body. It makes you cringe a bit…And Bellas sad eyes with it…

I love Seth. I love him and his goodness.. Booboo makes him perfectly. Leah Is a character I came to love once I understood her in the book.. and even though they make her perfectly in the movie.. I just didn’t feel the same sorrow I would like to feel.. But at least she helped the Cullens.. I love that they included the part where Esme came with food.. Showing Seths opening spirit.. Leahs unfriendly spirit.. and Jakes trying spirit.. It’s exactly like the book.. which is.. so much more then I expected.

The birthingscene for me was a big shocker. The moment Bella breaks her back and falls down – Is absolutely terryfying. But I do think they could have done It better with the CGI.. It was a turning point in the movie and It was so terryfying. You could really tell how shocked everyone was because of their expressions and the way they held their hands over their mouths. Even for me as a twi-hard.. this was so different to see then to read.. Bellas screaming was so terrafying.. My whole body cringed because of her screaming . It got even worse when Rosalie cuts her open and you hear everything. I love how everything is according to detail.. How Edward bites her.. But Bellas screaming, face expressials, tears.. It made everyone in the audience cringe. For me this wasn’t a birthingscene, It was a horror-scene.. yet It was exactly what I had Imagined when I read the book. I love the once again – happy moment Edward sees his daughter.. and Bellas eyes is just.. happier then ever. Like she sees her peace. And then comes the horrible moment. The moment where everything stands still and Bellas heart stops. What I love about this part.. Is that someone told me.. “Jacob gave up so fast. I’m so disappointed with him..” Something that Is taken from the book. Jake stopes – because he doesn’t feel connectid to Bella anymore.. Then It got horrible. Edwards desperate reviving.. His desperate “please,please”.. I could even see his hands shake. My heart broke, piece by piece, watching Rob giving the most incredible, estonashing, heartbreaking performance ever. He really made the audience understand – she was dead. He really made everyone understand – He couldn’t live without her. I cried heavily with many others. It was a long moment that never seemed to stop, a horror-scene that only had more horror. Seths “She didnt make it”.. Made It even worse. I had read the books.. and yet .. I wasn’t ready for this.

The wolf-attack.. was a part I wasn’t ready for. The moment when Edward, Alice and Jasper stands on the yard, ready to meet them.. I just thought “What the hell is going on?! They are going to get slaughtered!” And the moment they got a hold of Alice and Sam stood with his teeth inches from Edward.. I almost thought that would happen..

The imprinting part.. was.. different. Good. Beautifully made. I wish the CGI once again could have been a little bit better.. I wish the baby didn’t look so.. unreal.. but she has beautiful eyes.. hopefully It will be bit better in the second part.. But I did love the way Edward spills “Jacob imprinted!” and It all the sudden becomes .. peacefull again. Like this happiness I talked about. It feelt strong, watching the wolfs reaction and Jakes exchanging look with Edward..

It was beautiful watching them dress Bella, just like in the dress.. She really was broken.. And I love the way they showed how she became.. whole again.. the way her hair got life, her body got nutrition.. and I love how they showed that they burned her inside out.. Her screaming was like a part of the exorcist.. But… Once again.. I thought the CGI could have been a little bit better. But – Kristen will became a heck of a vampire and they left us with eyes sexier then ever.

All in all the movie was so beautiful and so well made.. It started with a twilight-feeling and then just turned to something we haven’t had before.. and they have really prepared us for a movie that’s going to be unlike anyother. The only complains I have.. Is the CGI at some moments. The performance from the actors are better then ever. Kristen is the best of the best and wow.. she has developed. Both as an actor, character and person. And rob.. Who is such a goofyguy.. Is an amasing actor that can give us so much at once.. I loved the music, I love the way everything was cut together.. Of course I would have want It to be longer, but you always want that.. We got everything we’ve read about.. and we’ve got a story that has given us a beginning of the end and a conclusion of former stories. I went out from the movie theater with a shock I’ve never felt before.. but also.. with a sort of excitement I haven’t felt before. It Is so different from all the other movies.. Just like the book Is.. So I cant say I’m not pleased.. It was just a lot to take In at once.. but I am so happy.. to have been a part of a phenomenon since 2007.. til now.. til the end. It’s been an amasing journey. And I know our last movie Is going to be a journey we’ve never been a part of before.

I loved it and it was my favorite of the four. I’ve been really disappointed with the last three and didn’t think they were good except for a few scenes. I honestly think part 2 will be even better ! I’ll go into detail later but I LOVED IT AND THIS IS COMING FROM A PERSON who didn’t really like the first three.

  62. Tania says:

I loved this movie!!!! but am I the only person who thinks the front part of the bella’s wedding dress was ugly ??? the backside of the dress was gorgeous!I just wish the front side of the wedding gown would’ve look better… Anyways, I digress… the movie was wonderful!!!!!

    • Ineka says:

No, you’re not the only one! I thought the triangle/diamond pattern intersected in an unflattering way over the breasts making her look more flat-chested than she actually is. Both flat and ‘pointy’ (or maybe angular) at the same time – hard to describe but I know I wasn’t into it! A little bit too leotard-y? I agree that the back was very beautiful – perhaps the front had to be quite tight and structured to keep the beautiful ‘line’ working in the back. I don’t know enough about dressmaking to say…

  63. Jessica says:

I loved it! I don’t know what everyone is saying about the wolf-voices…. it was so brief and didn’t bother me at all. It had that invading, overwhelming, annoying affect that I felt was exactly how the Pack described it as being- like having no privacy or quiet place in your mind. The wedding was gorgeous, the honeymoon was lovely- I was actaully surprised and *almost* uncomfortable ( do to the very young audience around me) at how visual the “love” scenes were- but I was pleased at how true they stayed to the book considering the time limits. I laughe and I cried. I think there were some added scenes we could of done without, and I thought the -afterbirth of reneseme, pre-transformation of Bella looked really fake, when Edward was trying to revive her. But I looked past that and saw the story and characters I love. I saw Edward an Jacob thinking they had lost the girl they loved more than anything, and was right there with them. Rob, Kristen and Taylor all did a great job in this film, I see a lot of improvement compared to the last three films- you really believed the relationships. I can’t wait to see what Bella REALLY looks like in the last film, that short peak of her left me so anxious for more. Overall- I went in ready to be critical of the film ( love the books, but the movies haven’t impressed me THAT much) until now. Best Twilight movie so far- hands down!

    • Jasmine Stells says:

I agree with you about the wolf-pack scene it was well done and I did have that feeling of wow this is really overwhelmingly annoying to have to hear all the time lol! I also agree with you in regards to the love scenes being uncomofortable but not for us, only for those parents who decided to bring their young kids to see it I also thought that the delivery was too graphic for children to see. Twilight was never designed with little kids in mind. The only thing I disagreed with you on was about the pre-transformation scene looking fake i loved it i was very pleased with it because in the book what happens to Bella is very graphic so I think Bill condon showcased that very well. I don’t want you to take any offense to this by any means I am just stating my opinion and I totally acknowledge yours i just wanted to share my thoughts on the movie with you.

  64. kim says:

i freaking loved the movie. its was by far my favorite. its was so beautiful. perfect! but am i the only one who noticed that edward wasnt sparking in the sun?

    • Jasmine Stells says:

Nope I noticed it too lol and I even mentioned it to my sis lol!

      • kim says:

        He actually did sparkle ;’)
ln the beginning I couldn’t see it either but he does ;’)
It’s only a little bit sparkle and not as much as before it’s a very lightly sparkle actually.

  65. Jasmine Stells says:

I just watched Breaking Dawn Part 1 ans let me say it was amazing! Bill Condon and Melissa Rosenberg both did an amazing job with the movie everything was perfectly done from the wedding to the honeymoon to the pregnancy/ delivery and Bella’s transformation. Bella’s death was soooo tragic I still can’t get it out of my mind she really looked terrible but I absolutely loved when they showed her transforming into her vampire self the whole internal to external showing of her body reforming was incredible and the montage of her entire life flashing was sooo well done that was something for the fans to show us alright everyone this is it Bella’s human self is gone this is your last look! The wolf- pack also really shined in this one I recall Kimmy saying it was a little confusing to follow the conversation when they were in wolf form but I thought it was fine I knew who was talking and was never thrown off also I didn’t feel like the movie dragged at all but I heard some people thought that. Overall this movie was AWESOME and all of the actors did an AMAZING job!

  66. Jasmine Stells says:

During the movie when Bella drops the cup of blood was anyone who has read the books thinking oh no here it goes because we knew her spine was about to break and it was gonna be time to deliver the baby? Also did anyone else notice how quiet the audience was in the theater while Bella is just lying there dead and transforming?

  67. Brigid says:

My favourite bit was when Edward said “come back to me baby”.

  68. Victoria says:

I honestly think that this movie followed the book more than any other! I love that the reviews that I’m reading from fans are that they loved it!! I noticed when reading reviews from the first three you would read a few reviews from fans that weren’t too thrilled.. I think this movie hits home for me so much because I am a mom. And in the part when Bella is looking at her stomach in the mirror is when she decided she loved this baby with all her heart and would do whatever she could to protect it! I think all mothers go thru that at some point in their pregnancy! I have seen it twice already and I am planning on going back again!

  69. Jessimucah says:

I’ve seen it twice already as well and I thought it was amazing! I didn’t watch any preveiws, read/watch any interviews, didn’t look at pictures posted. I saw/read nothing about the movie until I was in the theater watching it(It was extremely tempting and hard to wait a whole year with out see anything twilight related, believe me!) Everything they changed/added I was okay with. There was nothing that happened that made me disappointed! I’m Team Seth(Becuase he is adorable and Edwards best friend! Seriously!) and Team Alice (Who doesn’t love Alice?) I thought they did wonderfully with Seth and the only thing I said about Alice was “What did they do to her hair?” but I got over it… Truely an amazing movie! I can’t wait for part two!

  70. Karen says:

Saw it on Saturday…Wow…….Wow…..Wow. Every part I was hoping they would do a good job on they did – the wedding, the first night, Jacob’s imprinting. And the very end was absolutely perfect!

  71. Lenna101 says:

So i know nobody liked the wolf scene, or so it seems, but my sister, who is by no means a Twilight fan, actually liked it. I thought it was pretty funny/interesting the way their voices sounded but that moment when they have to bow down to Sam and jacob stands up and just growls that he is Ephrain Black’s grandson and he will not follow him or anyone else is pretty powerful. The effects on the wolves was very real, they looked like real wolves to me. The anger and the readiness to fight was very clear. The voices threw me off a bit, but I guess they were trying to adda bit of a ‘doggy’ underotne to their natural voices so that we could pick out everyone’s voice, but in the attempt made them sound like transformers. My sister though, loved this scene. She said it was very exciting… the fervor of it all….I’m not sure I would agree with her, but the scene did not bother me at all… =) I have to say though, I hope they release the R-rated version of the movie too =) so many scenes were ‘trimmed’ for that pg-13 rating….

  72. Lenna101 says:

To Kim and Jasmine Stells, he did sprakle when they were about to jump from that water fall… the sun hit him and he sparkled though it was only a bit and for a very short time. I just watched it again yesterday and I noticed that….

  73. Kyleen says:

I didn’t see any sparkling at all! When they were playing chess in the sunny room, when they were walking through the forest, or when they were swimming… I was disappointed. I wanted to see if they were going to improve the “sparkle” effect and I didn’t notice it at all. :(

  74. gelf says:

only problem i had was baton rouge, la and celtic productions were not listed in the credits for part one. even if it was green screen and sound stage mostly here, i know for a fact that the wedding scene was actually shot at Capital Park in Baton Rouge!!!!!

  75. sweetmaxcynthia says:

Best one yet! I loved the part when bella was nervous in the restroom…actually I loved all of the bella scenes…everything was perfect!

  76. Elizabeth says:

Astounding! How could a book where you know exactly what happens next manage to be spellbinding?! Don’t know–but they achieved that here. I was in suspense the whole time. Kristen went method in this movie. I was transported right back to everything I felt reading the book for the first time. This was EPIC GOTHIC ROMANCE! Ordinary life experiences unbelievably heightened! It was EPIC! Can’t wait to see u it again.

  77. K Ande says:

Alright, so I’m a fan of the saga, but this movie was a cheese-fest. I’m not going to put blame on anybody/anything in particular, rather I’ll just say the book content was not meant for the big screen. Yes, the emotional acting was better than the previous films, but it still feels real dumb outside of being curled up in chair with the book on your lap.

  78. God how much did i miss? how much & what parts do they take out to make the PG13 version?! TELL ME PLEASE! im begging you im only ( so i can only see bits (Lol) but i am the biggest twilight fan EVER!

  79. diana says:

there were things i loved and things i didn’t. loved: the romance…it was so nice to finally see edward portrayed as happy and not just brooding or feeling tortured. the family/mommy moment on the sofa was very good. kristen stewart did a wonderful job in this movie. loved how she sweetly relived the honeymoon night in front of the mirror. that was a tender little scene as was the moment bella fell in love with her baby. loved emotional scenes in the wedding like saying goodbye to charlie, jake, or the nice touch of edward and bella appearing alone during the ceremony kiss. i did not love: how campy the movie was at times. did not care for renee’s singing (what was that?!) or jessica’s speech. the wolfpack scene improved for me the second viewing, but perhaps that could have been handled differently. maybe discussion after the fact? the baby in the imprinting scene looked CGI. i wonder why they did that. certainly you can capture a real expression of a baby looking in a particular direction with or without editing. i am sure i will learn to ignore the things i didn’t like and eventually love this movie. i hate that fans have to wait until november. boo on summit for that. making me wait also makes me lose my momentum of excitement for twilight saga movies. it’s what got me into the hunger games. cannot wait for that movie.

  80. kim says:

I really loved the acting in this part.
I mean I always thought that they where amazing actors so I didn’t see this coming but they where even better then before!
I mean with the scene where Bella “dies”.
You could really feel the sadness from Rob..
His hands where shaking and you saw thousands of emotions in his eyes. You could see the shock cuz he didn’t expect it then while they had for like a second ago such a beatifull moment with their daughter. And ofcourse pain and sadness.
I really really felt sorry for him. And also with the whole wedding thing and stuff you could feel the happiness which made your whole heart warm up.
And kristen…. just perfect the whole precnancy scene and transformation and just wow.!

It was such a thought movie for everyone to do but they did it beyond amazing!
I need to see it again and again and again.
Just a perfect movie.. I liked everything :{D

  81. embellished anne says:

well I have only seen it once, and I loved it :) I was really worried that the actors would not be able to stretch their wings to reach the range of emotions that where need for this film (due to the fact that the other three the poor actors ie rob where really reined in, when it came to showing authentic emotion :) but thankfully I was pleasantly suprised :)
Moreover, alot of the comments are talking about the wolf form convo scene, and I agree that it was very confusing, I have to say if I had not read the books as many times as I had, that would have not made any sense at all, quite frankly I was a little upset that it was the only in wolf form conversations that where in the film.
Someone also said something about alices hair :) well I am happy they have finally made her look like a “pixie”, it only took them 4 films , the other ones she just looked like a desperate house wife:)
All in all the movie ticked most of the boxes for me and I am sure when I see it again and again I will warm to it even more, just like the rest :)
Last note … is that eclipse was was my fave book , but least liked film and breaking dawn was least favourite book and so far most favourite film :) go figure :) can’t wait for the next one ; does anyone know when the next one is out ???
Feel free to comment on the bottom :)
    Embellished Anne :)

DID ANYONE NOTICE EDWARD not sparkling?? he was in the sun alot on isle esme and he looked “human”

besides that i thought it was a great movie really met my expecations and higher! i loved how they played flight less bird american mouth during the wedding scene!
it felt so realy like you felt the emotion in all the scenes

    • KimRespectRob says:

      He did sparkle ;’)
But it was a bery lightly sparkle so it was hard to see.
but when he jumped of the waterfall and with the chess game outside ;’)
but again it’s very lightly and very hard to notice xD
I couldn’t see it either at the beginning

  83. Gabrielle says:

    Needed more Jasper, nuff said.
Buttt, even so, I cried twice. So I’d say it was pretty darn good.

  84. Alison says:

I just have to say, the music was amazing in this movie!!! It is so great to have Carter Burwell composing again. I loved the score that he did for Twilight, but I hated the scores for New Moon and Eclipse. I love love love that they brought back Bella’s lullaby during Edward’s wedding speech and at the end when Bella is transforming. I have missed the lullaby in the last two movies, and I’m sooo glad that it’s back. Hope it has a place in Breaking Dawn Part II as well. I also love Turning Page by Sleeping At Last. It’s my favorite song right now. It was beautiful while Bella is walking down the isle and absolutely perfect for the honeymoon scene. I really hope to hear Sleeping At Last on Part II also. And the wedding scene was perfect with Flightless Bird American Mouth. I know that some people were unhappy with a lot of the songs on the soundtrack. And I agree that some artists like Bruno Mars were a little bit wierd to see on the track list, but as far as the songs that they actually chose for the film and where they placed them were perfect. I don’t care if they put a Bruno Mars song in the credits as long as they don’t try to shove his random song down our throats during one the pivotal scenes, which they didn’t thankfully. I’m so excite for Part II, and I’m so happy that Carter Burwell will be composing for it too. I hope we get to hear/see some Robert Pattinson playing piano and singing for this last movie. Keeping my fingers crossed. :D

  85. Amanda says:

Two words… epic joygasm. The way they made Bella look while pregnant was just amazing. It was actually kind of upsetting to see her so emaciated on the gurney. Fantastic performances by Taylor and Robert. They actually made me cry. And seeing Bella fill back out and actually transform was so cool. Loved the score as well. So glad Carter Burwell is back. I loved all the scores, but I love his stuff the most. I kind of wish they’d given us a little taste of part 2 after the credits tho. Even just a 30 second blip, but oh well. All in all, such a fantastic addition to the series. Can’t wait for the DVD and part 2!

  86. Jenny says:

It was so good I loved it! I’m so glad they split into into 2 films so it would be closer to the book. I only wish the part where they go to tell Charlie they’re getting married was in the book. And the change where they had Edward leave Bella’s side (which he doesn’t do in the book. He’s by her side during her whole 3 day transformation) kind of bugged me. But I was so happy with the wedding, honeymoon, the crazy special effects to make Bella look so skinny, the birth scene, the imprinting scene (so good! I was worried) and then watching Bella’s body heal during the transformation was all great.
I did wish there was more Seth &Leah though. Seth is my favorite wolf & was hoping for more of him like in the book.

All the actors did a great job, especially the main 3. They all really kicked it up a notch. When Edward/Rob was fighting to save Bella’s life I got teary eyed and felt heart broken for him when he thought he was going to loose her. And Kristen did so great it makes me excited for part 2 to see her as vamp Bella. I hate we have to wait a year!

I can’t wait to go see it again. I know there was probably stuff I missed during my first showing. But I think it’s my favorite out of all of them.

  87. Angie says:

I enjoyed this movie, but sometimes for the wrong reasons. Laughed my socks off during the Wolf scene. ‘I AM THE GRANDSON OF EPHRIAM BLACK! I AM THE GRANDSON OF THE CHIEF!” Ha ha. It truly was awful, but hysterical and, therefore, worth it. Apart from that little scene, Taylor was probably the only Wolf that could actually act. Paul and Embry weren’t bad, but since they had very few lines, I don’t think that’s saying much. Seth was ok at times, and terrible at others. The whole ‘Bella didn’t make it thing’ was unbelievably cliche. Leah’s acting was equally poor; I cringed a lot.

I loved the way they made Bella look emaciated. That was very convincing. The birthing scene was great. They couldn’t really havedone a better job with this. Also, the glimpses into Bella’s mind while she was transforming were brilliant. Again, Kristen writhing in pain was both convincing and horrific. Loved it.

Renesmee, I did not love. She didn’t look real at all. I’d rather them have used just a normal baby with no CGI. Sure, she wouldn’t have matched the baby in the book, but at least she would have looked real.

I didn’t particularly like when Edward revealed that Jacob had imprinted on his daughter. The acting there was just so … wooden. I mean, all he said was ‘Jacob imprinted’ and that was it. You’d think there’d be a bit more shock or something. But no, just ‘Jacob imprinted’. I would have been happier if Taylor had broken out the jazz hands and shouted ‘SURPRISE!’ … Grr.

On the upside, the acting of the three main characters was much better than it has been in previous films. There was very little middle ground with Breaking Dawn Part 1: if it wasn’t perfect, it was hysterially awful.

    • dagnytaggart says:

I lol’ed at the mental image of Taylor breaking out in jazz hands and shouting, “Surprise!” I agree, the lack of emotion there was weird. And I think that if you hadn’t read the books, you might not have even picked up on what Edward said, because he was so quiet when he explained about the no-killing-imprints rule.

And I agree, that scene where Jacob stands up to Sam was horribly, cringe-inducingly cheesy. Sigh…

  88. mouse says:

What I love about any of the Twilight movies is that every time I watch them, I catch a little something I missed every other time Ive watched them. For Breaking Dawn.

    Second viewing…
Emmett licks his lips as Jake says the baby is looking for someone to “sink it’s teeth into”

Bella is wearing white sneakers when she goes to dance with Jake.

What was with that creepy dog picture next to Bella’s bed after Edward took off to his “bachelor party”?

    Third viewing…
Bella switches from wearing her engagement ring then her wedding band, then both, then one but not the other. It’s different in almost every scene. Sometimes she’s only wearing her engagement ring on her right hand but no wedding ring on the left.

In a house where Alice controls the family’s wardrobe…Bella’s maternity clothes are CRAP

Erm…why were they just tossing the blood bags out in the trash like it’s a regular occurrence? Shouldnt they oh I donno…Burn it?? It’s a house full of THIRSTY VAMPIRES!

Edward DOES sparkle just a tiny bit above the waterfall when she jumps on his back. I think the rule follows that they must be in DIRECT sunlight to sparkle. They can be in a sunny area like say the beach but if they have an umbrella overhead, they wont sparkle. Odd but that’s what seems to be the case in each of the movies.

How does Irina know that Seth is a wolf? Laurent was killed in New Moon. Seth didnt be come a wolf until Eclipse. Also, when she looks at him, they show Sam as a wolf not Seth.

Censorship is weird Im learning. PG13 means you cant show certain things in a sex scene or butt crack BUT you CAN show someone explicitly throwing up. I thought that was odd.

If you search Youtube for the B-roll clips. There’s one where Edward hits Jake and throws him into the wall of the library. This isnt in the movie. Wonder if it will be in the next one. Perhaps papa Eddie’s reaction to his new son in law? lol

    • cherrybomb says:

Irina knows that Seth is a wolf because she can smell him.

      • elizabeth says:

Mouse– I noticed a lot of those things too. how about Jasper’s expression when blood or “food” is mentioned-HILARIOUS. I agree, why can’t we see a tasteful love scene instead of a bunch of puking-yuk. YES, I really really really want to know what happened to that b-roll with Edward throwing jake against the wall

      • mouse says:

I suppose if you mean she smelt a guest that didnt quite smell human or not quite animal then I guess that’s a reasonable explination.

However, I find it hard to believe she’d automatically put two and two together considering she isnt the brightest bulb as we find out later.

She didnt know the Cullens were friends with the wolves and if she wasnt there when Laurent died, how would she know what they smelled like? I guess it was hard for me to imagine she’d know this.

  89. Mickyla says:

I freaking love the movie I have seen it already 5 times and am going to see it again on Wednesday. It is one of my fav movies out of all of them and I loved it :)

    • elizabeth says:

I couldn’t agree more. I think I will see it a few more times as long as nothing new & interesting opens up and I want to go to the movies. So far nothing out there that I want to see right now except BD

  90. Mackenzie says:

So I saw the midnight showing and it was AWSOME!!!!! One of the best movies I have ever seen and cant wait for part 2 :)

  91. Ginifurbrand says:

First off, I loved Breaking Dawn!!!!! My opinion is they stayed true to the book with a few twists and turns. “Jaw Dropping” was my review for anyone who asked me about the film. So I enjoyed…….however with that being said, as much as i loved this movie my favorite has always been New moon. Details make a movie truely magical and Chris Weitz was the best movie director for the saga. New moon was the most believeable of all the films for me and I would have loved to see Weitz vison for Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. I feel the saga is becoming somewhat “chessy” and less “classy” like it started in the first two movies. So that is my only disappointment with Breaking Dawn. Edwards character is one of refinement and class, and that is what draws a womans heart to this impossible love story. With Part 2 I hope it exceeds this simple fan request. (Being the last of a great series, it should leave us mesmerized and holding our breath)

  92. Angelo says:

LET ME START BY SAYING IM A HUGE FAN OF THE BOOKS AND MOVIES, I COULDNT WAIT TO SEE IT AND I DID SEE IT OPENING NIGHT AT MIDNIGHT. HAVING SAID THAT, IM ALITTLE UPSET THAT ALL OF YOU FOR THE MOST PART, ARE BLINDED BY YOUR LOVE OF THE SERIES, HONESTLY, THINK ABOUT IT, WERE THE SPECIAL EFFECTS GOOD? WAS IT REALLY LIKE THE BOOK? DID IT EXPLAIN THINGS CLEARLY? THE ANSWER IS NO. SPECIAL EFFECTS; REALLY BAD, DEFINITLY THE WORST OUT OF ALL THE MOVIES, ID RATHER WATCH EDDY CLIMB UP THAT TREE A HUNDRED TIMES WITH HIS SPIDER MONKEY ON HIS BACK THAN TRY TO BE CONVINCED THAT EMMETT AND JASPER ARE REALLY JUMPING UP TO BELLA’S WINDOW, IT WAS SHACKY, AND AT TIMES SEEMED LIKE THEY WERE DRAWN INTO FOCUS. THE SCENE WHERE THE WOLVES ARE TAKING TO EACH OTHER WAS REDICULAS AS WELL. WHY DID THEY MAKE THE WOLVES VOICES ANY DIFFERENT THAN THE ACTORS? IT WAS SO HARD TO TELL WHICH WOLVE WAS TALKING WHEN YOU HAVE ALL OF THEM IN THE SHOT, STUPID. THE ONLY THING ABOUT THE SPECIAL EFFECTS I DID LIKE WAS HOW BELLA LOOKED WHILE PREGO, THAT CAME OUT GOOD, I BELEIVED SHE WAS DYING, BESIDES THAT, POOP.
IF IT WAS TRUE TO THE BOOK, THEY WOULDVE HAD JAKE’S SIDE, WHICH IS AWESOME IN THE BOOK, ONE OF MY FAVORITE PARTS, ITS IMPORTANT, ITS KEY TO THE WHOLE RENESME THING. IN THE MOVIE THEY THREW OUT ONE LINE OF DIALOGUE THAT DIDNT JUSTIFY THE MEANS OF IMPRINTING OR HOW JAKE IS DYING INSIDE TO SOME HOW GET OVER BELLA AND HOW HE WISHES HE CAN JUST IMPRINT AND GET IT OVER WITH, JUNK. OH, WHO IS AT THE HOUSE WHEN BELLA DELIVERS IN THE BOOK? AND WHO IS THERE AT THE SAME TIME IN THE MOVIE, WRONG. N WHY WAS THE BIRTH SCENE SO SHORT AS WELL AS THE TRANSFORMATION, CRAP.
AND LETS BE HONEST, THE BOOKS AND MOVIES ARE FILLED WITH SADNESS, LOVE, FRIENDSHIP. YOU DONT HAVE TO MAKE IT WORSE BY DRAWING OUT SCENES WITH 3 DIFFERENT VERSIONS OF ONE SONG, OR WITH MUSIC THAT DOESNT EVEN GO WITH THE EMOTION OF THE SCENE, IT WAS LIKE THE EDITING PROCESS WENT LIKE THIS; AH, SHOULD WE JUST GET THIS DONE SO WE COULD SMOKE A BOWL? THE SCORE IS THE WHOLE TONE FOR THE MOVIE AND I FELT LIKE I WAS WATCHING SOMETHING ON NICK KIDS OR THE DISNEY CHANNEL.
PLEASE BE HONEST AND SAY TO YOURSELF THAT THE MOVIE WASNT DONE WELL. DONT WRITE ME BACK AND SAY, YOU HAVE TO BE A FAN TO APPRIECIATE BLA BLA BLA, ANY ONE WHO LIKES MOVIES IN GENERAL WOULDNT SEE THIS MOVIE TWICE. I OWN ALL THE MOVIES AND USUALLY FALL ASLEEP WATCHING ONE OF THEM BUT I CAN ASSURE YOU I WONT EVEN BUY THIS ONE AND I DEFINITLY WONT SEE IT TWICE IN THE THEATRE, THEYVE MADE SO MUCH MONEY ON THIS FRANCISE YOU WOULD THINK THEY WOULDVE MADE A GOOD AND DECENT MOVIE FIRST INSTEAD OF A MOVIE FOR FANS(ME) IT REALLY HURT ME TO KNOW THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT THEIR PAYCHECKS. GOD I HOPE PART 2 ISNT ANYTHING LIKE PART 1

    • KimRespectRob says:

If you where a true fan you would know they don’t do it only for the paychecks. They do enough for their “fans”.

  93. Robyn says:

“A huge fan of the books and Movies” and then goes on to say how he/she usually falls asleep watching one of them. You dont even make sense.

  94. Lindsay says:

I’m going to see it tonight for the second time (first was midnight premier) … this time I’m going to look very closely to details :)

  95. Annabelle says:

  96. Monisha says:

I saw the move on the midnight release I wanna say like two weeks ago…. Anyway I’ve read some of ppl reactions, but no one has commented on how bad ROSALIE’S WIG WAS. The makeup and wigs are always on my mind in the movies. I think the hair was so much better last movie. As far as the telepathy scene….it gave me urk chills but it also irratated me in the book as well. I thought that this move was the best movie so far….the remember all the important stuff and it flowed so well for me. In New Moon… they had to literally explain so much stuff it bothered me …loved the action of that movie but they had to explain alot in the movie to the non-book-readers.

but i so enjoyed the movie, they did so well. it made me wanna reread the book so i could compare even more because when i walked out the theater i was more then satisfied.

and here’s a question, maybe its just me, or did the ending with bella’s eyes opeining up remind u of the ending of Avatar…lol

    • dagnytaggart says:

I agree, Rosalie did not look good in this movie. It’s funny, because my brother, who has not read Twilight but has seen the movies, was asking me questions about Rosalie after he saw BD, and I explained how a lot of her personality was based on the fact that she was so good-looking, and he was like, “Yeah, I don’t think she’s as pretty in the movies as she’s supposed to be in the books.” He was confused because my explanation of the books didn’t match with what he saw onscreen. I agree, the hair was so much better in the last movie. The makeup, too, imo.

  97. dagnytaggart says:

For me, the movie was okay, but just okay. Overall, it was meh for me. Maybe I’ll like it better after I see it again; that’s usually been the case for the other movies. But my first impressions were that the special effects were horrible (very disappointing, as they should have enough money now to afford good effects). The wolves looked very fake, a lot of the vampires’ running and jumping was bad, and the Denali sisters’ eyes looked very weird. A lot of the moments that were supposed to be funny kind of fell flat, imo (such a huge disappointment, because there was so much humor in the Jake section of the book that would have translated perfectly to the big screen – I cannot believe they left it all out). I also thought the changing scene was confusing and poorly done.

Things I liked were how horrible Bella looked during the pregnancy. It was very convincing and finally made me realize how dangerous the pregnancy was. The blood on her teeth was also an appropriately disturbing addition. Kristen Stewart’s acting was marginally better in this one. The wedding dress was beautiful. The birth scene was good. I liked that they added the fight scene at the end, because the extra action made the movie more exciting.

  99. Lexy says:

I have just seen the movie for the first time and I absolutely loved it. The wedding scene did seem to drag on a bit, but I found it very romantic. The honeymoon was the funniest part of the movie because of Edward, and just how funny he was during it. Definitely my favourite part of the movie. The rest of the movie was brilliantly done, especially the CGI in the movie. The was that Bella actually looked so frail and ill was amazing. I actually felt sick when I looked at her. I only issue I had with the movie was when she drank the blood from the cup with the straw. I felt physically ill, but that really didn’t make the movie worse. I just personally found it the most disgusting part of the movie. I loved the whole Jacob/Renesmee imprint scene amazing. I loved the way they did it. The way that they did the Bella transformation was also amazing. I loved the way they made her gain her figure again, so she didn’t look anorexic. Just didn’t like the way her back broke when she went to reach for the cup. I had to cover my eyes for that part. This whole movie has me on pins and needles for part 2. I actually can’t wait for it to come out. Here’s hoping that part 2 is as good as part 1.

  100. Diane says:

Summit should be ashamed for making fans wait a year to the next installment. Just milking the success of the franchise as long as possible. Too bad that it makes me lose my momentum of excitement for these movies. Fans will still go so what do they care, right?

    • dagnytaggart says:

I agree. They never would have dared to do this if Harry Potter hadn’t done it first. I could possibly see breaking BD into two movies if they had kept the Jake section of the book, but they cut almost all of it out. If they were going to cut that much out, they really didn’t need to have two movies. It’s all about money, money, money.

Breaking Dawn was so freaking amazing!!!! I bet it is going to be even better the second time for me! I just saw on December 3 but it was totaly awesome! Can’t wait to see it again, loved Bella’s death or birth scene it looked so real! And when Bella opened her blood red eyes….all I have to say is that I am going to DIE waiting for part 2 to come out next November!! Can’t wait for VAMPIRE BELLA!!!……TEAM BELLA EVERYDAY!!!

i loved the movie but i found it sad as well i cryed i laughed and i got scared i think the best scene was when Bella woke up as a new born i mean she has wanted to be a vampire for a very long time and at some time Edward was gonna cave in early & The wedding
