That was such a let down, plus it was the worst clip of the whole set which just made the movie look stupider to the non-fan world, who agreed to this?!?!?!
I totally agree! Twilight will look stupider for “anti-fans”/non-fans. But what pisses me off more is that they are using the twihards for their purpose. Which was…what? They wanted more ppl to watch the Oscars. Well it was the dumbest idea/marketing EVER. I won’t watch the Oscars becouse they put in 30 sec Twistuff… +it just made me hate the whole Twilight stuff. Now I wish they would have never made a movie from the books.
I totally agree. I’m almost ashamed that I’m a Twilight fan. I can’t believe they played this at the oscars, good way to make fun of Twilight. Unbelievable.

The Twilight series is the best movies and books that i have seen and read in a long time and I am 50 years old. I am looking forward to seeing Breaking Dawn the movie and my daughter has the book so we have already read the book but can’t wait to see the movie. She has all of the books and all of the movies except for Breaking Dawn (Movie) so when it comes out we will buy the movie but we read the books over and over all the time. We are both Team Jacob. We prefer the Hot-blooded men then the cold-blooded men sorry Edward don’t get us wrong you are cute too but Jacob don’t need to own a shirt he is too fine to own a shirt.
You’re weird. I love Twilight. I love the movies as well (Team Edward! ) but to say they are the best movies and books ever is s crock. You obviously haven’t read many books. You’re a really sad person. There are amazing films and books out there. I suggest you educate yourself.

I’m really annoyed that they actually said it would “blow our minds”. I mean, come on. Really? Personally, I didn’t need a big Twilight surprise at the Oscars, but it might have been enjoyable if I didn’t have that, “I knew it, I knew it was going to be nothing” moment. Why bother to even tell us? I was going to watch the Oscars anyway.
That was THE stupidest thing ever…and I really think I mean that…Besides that, can we please focus on storyline instead of Taylor’s abs? Not saying they aren’t great and he’s definitely worked hard for them, but…really??? Ugh. I’m a disappointed fan tonight…

Lolcanic eruption. Personally, I think the montage was genius. If you can make an entire song simply by mixing regular dialogue and autotune, it really doesn’t say much for the mainstream music artists of today. Very illuminating.

I agree. They knew The Twilight Saga has such a large following…and older award shows such as this one’s ratings have been going down…they just wanted to get a bunch of people to tune in :/ It was very unfair in my opinion! Hopefully they learned their lesson because so many fans were let down by this.

I was really disapointed by this, but I was more than happy to see than scene with Taylor Lautner again. I’m a huge fan of his but I find it so hard to find a fansite for him. http://www.taylorlautnerupdate.com is an incredible fansite that gives 24/7 updates on news, pictures, videos & more! I hope fellow TayTay fans enjoy it as much as I do =)
TOTALLY Cheap attempt at using Twihards for extra ratings on that antiquated award show!! I had to work so I didn’t get to watch the show but i didn’t care because i knew HGE would have the clip! LAME!!! and i agree that this clip just makes people take Twilight even less seriously than they already do!!! EPIC FAIL!!!

The most awuful surprise ever. Not even the least bit funny in my opinion. Stupid, not too funny, and it makes Twilight look more rediculous than non-fans already see it to be. I find it to be somewhat of an insult for people to think twilight fans like this kind of stuff, anyone agree?

Disappointing. Big time. Not only in the Academy for doing this to all of the movies shown above, but to use the Twilight fandom in such a manner, its pretty obvious it’s all about money and ratings to them….which is the biggest disappointment. Remember the first time you read Twilight? How it made you feel? I think all the people in charge of the movies and marketing really need to take a look at the books again and understand and try to understand why we love the books so much, and not use our love of the books to manipulate us in such a manner to gain more viewers but rather use our love and appreciation to make the remaining two movies that much better for the fans

I almost feel as if the Summit people were saying “blow our minds” in a droggatory sense. Do they really think so little of us that they think we will be impressed by a autotune shot of taylor lautner? I feel insulted by this whole situation. Oscars taking the piss. Is that really what the franchise wanted when no one takes it seriously anyway? I’m pissed off. I’m sick of being embarassed to say I love Twilight….and this kinda stuff reinforces people’s negative attitudes and disapproval of the saga.

Not to sound rude, but did anyone really thought they’d release anything importart at the Oscars? Seriously, the Oscars is a prestigious awards show, and I’m sorry to say Twilight is not ‘Oscar’ worthy at all.
MTV Movie Awards, People’s Choice and so on are shows that are especifically aimed at Twilight fans, simply because most fans are teens. You should have known nothing big would be shown at the Oscars, because they know most fans would not watch it, even with the publicity.
When I saw the ‘blow your mind’ tweet, I tried to come up with anything that could be shown at the Oscars without getting extremely criticized, and came up with nothing. Anything they could have shown would’ve been made into a joke. And alas, it was made into a joke all the same.
If you want anything ‘serious’ released about BD, wait for the MTV Movie Awards, or the AMAs, or anything similar, more laid back and made for teenagers.
I’m a Twilight fan (Team Edward!), btw, but I just wanted to let my opinion known.
