Susanna White To Direct ‘The Host’

Exclusive: Susanna White (“Nanny McPhee Returns”) is attached to direct the feature adaptation of “The Host,” author Stephenie Meyer’s follow-up to “The Twilight Saga.”

Nick Wechsler will produce the indie through his eponymous banner, along with Chockstone Pictures’ Steve Schwartz and Paula Mae Schwartz.

Andrew Niccol (“The Truman Show”) wrote the sci-fi drama, which concerns a young woman whose body is inhabited by a benevolent alien soul after an invasion of Earth.

White made her directorial debut last year with the “Nanny McPhee” sequel, which grossed more than $93 million worldwide.

Carter Burwell Writes “Renesmee’s Lullaby” for Breaking Dawn

Carter Burwell the composer for Twilight was announced awhile ago as returning in that role for Breaking Dawn. Amanda Bell, the Twilight Examiner, confirmed that the Carter Burwell twitter was legit. It is now locked. However before it was looked it tweeted the following exciting news

‘Breaking Dawn Part 1′ Footage To Be Revealed at Comic-Con 2011?

This year’s Comic-Con in particular is poised to be perhaps the biggest yet. In a battle of screaming female tweens versus comic book faithful, Summit Entertainment will present new footage and the stars of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 while Marvel and Paramount will counter with likely the first public footage from The Avengers.

This hasn’t been confirmed, but we’ll keep you posted.

Pre-Production of Breaking Dawn Underway in Vancouver

With just a few weeks to go before filming of Twilight: Breaking Dawn begins in Vancouver, production crew have been grinding into gear.

Pre-production has already begun in Hollywood North, according to an insider, and the cast — including Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart — will be arriving in a couple of weeks.

A number of exterior film sets are already being set up around Metro Vancouver, including Bella’s house, which has been built in Kerry Park in Surrey. Filming will also take place at Jacob’s red homestead in Port Coquitlam.
