Breaking Dawn ‘Renesmee’ Audition – Audition Tape

This adorable young actress, Tilly, auditioned for the role of Renesmee, which eventually went to Mackenzie Foy. However, it’s very interesting to see how they cast the role, you can even hear some of the script samples they used. Even though these script ‘sides’ probably won’t be used in the film, they do make me really excited for the adorable Renesmee moments!

Awe, she was just too cute! These sound like some lines from the book, but different. I am so excited about this. I think Renesmee is going to be one of the cutest and best parts about the movies!
that was interesting, but why did they use a guy to play Bella??? That little girl was cute but I really do prefer Mackenzie Foy because she has that look, that any other little girl doesn have. See what i mean!!!!
Cute girl. She probably would have done better if they had at least had a girl read Bella’s lines lol.
Hearing possible parts of the script makes me excited for the movie. I’m also really worried, though, after hearing some of those lines. There’s no way Kristen Stewart can pull those off.

I’m not being unfair or overly harsh. And I have a right to express my opinion. That’s what the purpose of the comment threads are: to express opinions and discuss them.
And I’m not going to “stay home” just because one actress is horrible. I’m still going to watch the movies, but again, I have the right to have opinions about them. It’s not like the only two choices are unequivocally loving every aspect of the movie or not watching them at all. There is a middle ground, and that middle ground is enjoying the parts that are good even while recognizing that other parts are not so good. And it’s not unreasonable to share what aspects I think fall into which category. Again, that’s the point of sites like this.
whatever.. i don’t see movies with actors i deem as horrible.. and you obviousl have no real taste cuz kristen is one of the most talented actresses ion hollywood.. you must think lindsay is a wonderful “actress”
alright I agree with both of you guys….. but i don’t think you can really judge her if you’ve only seen her in one film, i’ve seen her in a lot of movies, and i think she was fantastic in them!
personally i think it’s just the way that the movies are written. just like with robert pattinson, i’ve seen him in other movies and he was awesome, it’s just these scripts, and the way they are instructed to play their characters
If you’re referring to Lindsay Lohan, yes, as a matter of fact, I do think she is a good actress. She obviously has a lot of work to do as far as her personal life goes, but as far as acting goes, I think she is very talented.
And to the person who also commented on this (sorry my computer is being stupid and blocking out your name), I have seen three movies with KS and not thought highly of her performance in any of them. But point taken. Actually, seeing more movies of hers has been on my to-do list for a while now, because I’ve heard several people (including well-renowned critics) rave about her performances, so I’m definitely curious as to how they differ from the Twilight movies. So don’t worry, I do plan to check them out at some point.
I agree that the way the movies are written does constrain the actors a lot; however, it shouldn’t prevent them from expressing EMOTION. My main issue with KStew’s portrayal of Bella is that she simply doesn’t convey emotion most of the time, but rather looks bored and like she would rather be anywhere else in the world than on that set. But that’s just my opinion. I understand and respect that many people here have very different opinions.

SHE’S CUTE, BUT SHE LACKS THE EMOTIONS IN DELIVERING CERTAIN LINES. SHE SOUNDS KINDA MONOTONE IN CERTAIN PLACESAND HER FACIAL EXPRESSIONS ARE NOT HELPING EITHER. SHE HAS POTENTIAL TO GROW THOUGH. I LOVE BELLA’S LINES.

i would rather mackenzie’s tape because i think she is adorable, and it would be too cute to watch her do these lines, but at least we got a small taste of what the script may be like
im not saying i think Kristen’s a bad actress i love her, i really do but im a little worried about how shes gonna act like a mother
Yeah i am cocerned as to how she could act like a mother but who knows maybe she will surprise everyone and be amazing like in the other movies (:

She was cute but she could not respond emotionally to the dialogue, when bella is telling her she has to leave them she should be crying or at least upset not just staring. though i do give her credit for having to work of a guy as bella. but the line where she wants to sleep in Alice’s bed was something new. was that in the book? i dont remember, but im pretty sure it wasnt. but now im just being nit picky. i really think kristen is going to a great job regardless. she is one of my favorite actresses, it started from twilight but ive seen a lot of her other work and its really amazing

Is this clip genuine? It’s so bizarre- why would they have man in a wig reading Bella’s lines? The little girl is weirdly precocious. Could it be some pushy parent just sent in a video of their kid to try and get an interview?
She was really cute…But I can’t wait to see the real Renesmee in action next year…
